Laurie Daley is a joke of the highest order. How that man has a commentary job I'll never know.

Sharks were rubbish tonight.
The ref was terrible.
The Knights probably can't play much better than they did.
The Knights crowd were obnoxious morons for most of the game.

BLAH BLAH BLAH...

Cry me a river, sweet-heart. You're an embarassment to Sharks fans, and that's really saying something

Or the time Reece Williams played at the ball with his back turned robbing us of a chance to win the game!

Press conference.

First Question - Smith didnt like it so he made his own one up
2nd Question, which went for about 40 seconds - Smith simply said "Yeah I agree with you, what you just said, next.."

You act like those don't get called nine times out of ten. He turned his back so he wouldn't get hit in the face - so he obviously knew it was coming.

why do people always claim there team was robbed if they loss? dead set you lost newy won stop talking about the ifs and buts the fact of the matter is none of those ifs and buts happened but hey heres one for ya...if jarrod mullen kicked the ball down feild every set of six and newcastle player regathered and scored every time we woulda won by 100+...see my point? ifs and buts are pointless.

although i dont mind supporters having a go about being robbed when they blatantly were such as the warriors on the weekend even though they won:D

Yea so, he turned so he didn't get hit, it doesnt mean he was playing that the ball he just didnt want the ball drilled at his face.

Newcastle 20 defeated Cronulla 16

Argue the point all you like. At least some of your fans are man enough to admit that the team f**ked up, not the referee.

Look, it's obnoxious moron #1!

Can you read buddy? I said the Sharks were terrible. Your mates agree that the ref was crap. And your coach agrees that the Knights couldn't have played much better.

So, that makes me an embarrassment to Sharks fans?
Ummm OK... Remind me about that when you come to Shark Park later in the year. I'll make sure you have a lovely time champ.

Haha, are you threatening me from behind your keyboard? Forgive me if I'm not intimidated.

As for 'my mates' agreeing with you - I've not seen that. The ref was better than the seven others who went to video referees for every try and ruled a million obstruction calls. Any Cronulla fan blaming the referee for costing them the game is delusional.

As for us 'not being able to play better' I think you'll find he was referring to the circumstances. Four guys who were essentially debuting, the guy we've been running in five eighth out, and four guys picking up injuries during the game. I know Ricky thinks you were running 'half a second grade side' out there tonight - but aside from Dykes, who of note was actually missing?

Upon re-reading your post. Maybe your 'lovely time' comment was a come on? Are you ready to make the step up from Covell cut-out to living, breathing human being? I'm flattered mate, but maybe you'd better aim for someone a little closer to your intellectual level.

I'm pretty sure Laurie Daley wouldn't say no to a little on the side ;-)

I never said we didnt f**k up, we cost ourself the game but the ref didn't help our cause did he

No more than he helped ours by allowing Cronulla leniency in the ten. Referee's make mistakes every game - why is it that that particular call was the straw that broke the camel's back?

Classic comeback from obnoxious moron #1.

Can someone remind me how this bloke is a moderator?

No mate, I'm not threatening you at all. Nor am I "coming on to you". Maybe in your deluded head you'd like that, but hey, I'm not up for that type of stuff champ. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

As for your comments about the game, how can you be "essentially debuting"? You either are debuting, or you aren't. What is it?

We had Dykes, Phil Leuluai and Dustin Cooper (and Cameron Ciraldo) out injured, and 7 blokes who looked more interested in playing City - Country on Thursday night. Add to that our poor attitude, and quite obviously we were crap. A few of those blokes that played tonight should be in "second grade", which is what Ricky Stuart was referring to.

The only "little on the side that I'd give Daley is a headbut to the large nose that cast a sizeable shadow over Energy Australia Stadium tonight.

As for the referee being lenient on the Sharks 10m, he had us back 12-13m most of the time, so even if we were 2 metres offside we were probably back 10 anyway! the Knights seemed to be back right on 10m most of the night, AND leaving the line very quickly. Whether the were offside or not I don't know (it's hard to tell from the curved Western Stand at EAS). The ref most definitely did not cost Cronulla the game (that honour goes to the men in grey), but he certainly did not put in a good performance at all.

Let's consider the facts. Michael Young has played two games of fullback in first grade in 2004. Kade Snowden has played something like five/six games of first grade, back in 2005. Tuafua and Royal were debuts. That's eight games worth of experience on our bench, none of which is recent.

We had Dykes, Phil Leuluai and Dustin Cooper (and Cameron Ciraldo)

I'll give you Dykes and Leullai, but Dustin Cooper? The guy couldn't even make our side. His absence didn't make any difference.

Can someone remind me how this bloke is a moderator?

I don't see what this has to do with our argument. You came into the forum with an insincere congratulation, I called you on it, and then you invite me to a home game so you can do something unpleasant to me.

come on mate, it was a bullsh*t call and you know it, he turned away and it hit him in the legs.

Than again the whole charge down rule in general is f**ked. I have seen instances like tonight where they are ruled to have played at the ball and have done nothing of the sort, then I have seen charge downs where they are going for the ball, knock on, the other team regathers and don't get 6 again. Its a f**ken joke.

No one is blaming the ref though, we can blame ourselves 100% for the loss. You guys were very beatable tonight, but you stuck to your guns and we played like sh*t.

Maxwell has been sh*t all year though.

Alright, I'll concede that it was a poor call - but the game wasn't entirely mistake free. I happened to think Thompson was offside when Kimmorley's chip found Simmonds - and he was well within the ten for the entire affair.

I just can't stomach people blaming the referee for their own team's poor performance. When your own coach trashes the entire team - chances are, the referee's involvement in the outcome was minimal.

Learn to read Princess!
No one is saying that the Sharks played well and deserved to win! A few of us merely pointed out that Maxwell is not up to NRL standard, along with 5 or 6 of the Sharks 1st Grade team.

And no one threatened you with anything unpleasant either. That's you imagining things that you'd like to happen.

So you had two players making their debut then? OK, I'll give you that.
As for your other two, well, we had Weston playing his 2nd RL game too, after only playing 15 minutes against the Tigers a few weeks back.

Again, I'm not wasting my time arguing the point with you. There's no enough cyberspace to get anything through to you.

I'll admit, the Sharks have a lot of work to do. As do you on your personality.

Goodnight Princess. See you at Shark Park next year.
