I remember when I used to celebrate tries and great defensive sets with passion.

These days I know they are just aberrations in what will ultimately turn into a stinking pile of a performance. I don't even get excited by scoring tries now. I just feel like I've fallen out of love with the club but I'm clinging on with some vague hope it might be worth it, even though it never is.

I hate that he gets such a free ride from the media too. Nobody ever says it's Gidley's fault. It's always "no direction", "no structure", "lack of composure by the Knights"... but it's never "and Gidley is the captain / fullback / halfback / most experienced player / one of the highest paid players".
