Tonight's brain fart: brought to you by speedster!

Roosters will be missing their star halfback until well into the backend of next season if scans confirm he has indeed suffered a dreaded ACL. They're losing Keary and Manu too so they will be hunting for a new half desperately even with guys like Watson and Sandon Smith in their squad.

Memories of the last World Cup include how fond Uncle Nick was off the young halfback representing Greece so, it has occurred to me tonight as I shat on the throne a few minutes ago that they might decide to poach Lachy Ilias from us to be their back up half or maybe as their starting half until Walker returns.

Same reasoning I wouldn't mind Sivo playing for us with AJ gone for more than half of next year too.

Anyhow, that was speedster's brain fart for this evening.

I call it a brain smart speedster don't underestimate urself cobber.

Congrats to our four on their nomination.

I doubt any of them will win it given how poor our Season has been sadly.

Wonder if Wayne will give Corey Oates a lifeline next year. I know he's slowing up but he's still a solid winger but can also play backrow. We need someone who can bump it forward, take high balls, tackle and finish well while AJ is out.

Him or Sivo would be solid I think.

Johnson will be back much sooner than assumed. Aaron Rodgers - at 40 - returned to practice some 77 days after the same injury! Rodgers runs a lot for a QB, part of his weaponry, so he would not simply offload balls and passes. He was ready to play but the team refused. Its nowhere near the same difficulty as a torn ACL. Within a year, Rodgers is now fully recovered and ready to go at 41.

Is the rehab in American footy a lot more advanced than the nrl because the lowest paid players over there would be on more than the salary cap at any nrl side and when turbo and latrell were having hamstring problems they sent them to the USA to get fixed and Roger’s salary could buy the nrl so a fair guess he would have top medical cover

Yeah, I dunno. They said 6-9 months so I'm just going by that. If it's sooner, then great but he looks like missing half the season at this stage.
