Good to see someone else recognizes Jye is our best choice for custodian. When I proposed it earlier in the year another member here arced up and said I was totally wrong. Looks like it was him who was totally wrong.

The future for Souths is
1 Gray
6 Latrell

Latrell could of course just play centre but he is more suited to the No 6 role these days

As for Cody he should retire. Jack should retire too
Yeah nah for Trel at 6. Maybe if we had a gun no.7 taking control of the team but we do t have that luxury. Centres for me

How many time did she say time off at the end and the clock kept ticking? The clock should have stopped at 42 seconds.

we were robbed at least another tackle. I know it means nothing really.
But again it goes to show sharpe can’t ref, she couldn’t get the time keepers to listen nor she didn’t try and get it fixed

I thought Gray was outstanding and I felt the team lifted around him.
I think Gray should remain fullback.
I'm sorry but I really feel Souths can no longer afford to pay a player a million bucks to play maybe ten games a year.
Mitchell refused to play when put in the centres at the beginning of the year - all he did was kick the ball on the sixth tackle.
Sorry, Mitchell has gotta go, so will a number of other guys whose contracts are up

We have not won a penalty count under Belinda in 5 games we’ve had her.

Penalties for: 18
Penalties against: 34

Also 1 and 4 record under her
You know I dont like talking about refs but I agree. She is ordinary.
I think it’s hard for us to win a penalty count under any ref though.
I’m not sure on the stats but I think we gave alot away in the red zone when we were backs to the wall defending.
Conversely were were hardly up the other end in the opposing red zone. We didn’t “earn the right” for want of a better phrase to earn penalties simply because of our lack of go forward and chances in an attacking position .

Im so disappointed in munro, again he came in off his wing for a hailmary tackle when there were other players there to do it ,left his wing exposed and another try on his wing, its a guarantee every game, lets not mention the dropped bombs, why is he still in first grade? Put myers in, make him practice bomb taking at training, someone coach him for gods sake he is rediculous, any other winger could have fallen over the line to score, unless someone puts him in the clear, he is hopless

Its not just the skewed Umpiring. Compare our Schedule to Penrith. Since early June when Cleary was in last spot they have had an absolute Marshmallow Schedule. Balmain Gypsies x2 Parramatta x2 Newcastle [up coming] GC [up coming] SSFC, Gould and NZW. The last one has collapsed, meaning at least SEVEN easy wins for Cleary in the critical mid-season. By contrast, we have faced virtually 9 consecutive games v Playoff squads or those fighting for one. Combined with the busted squad, we have had very few realistic wins to take.
Its quite apparent that the NRL Hierarchy have taken a set against SSFC. And you are correct: almost every game critical umpiring decisions favor every opponent. The Red Haired clown is one of the worst, his bias is quite shameful.

The Loft agrees 101%. Walker-Mitchell are a bad combination it seems as though they make the squad soft, take short cuts, joke around etc. Their attitude and approach to training may be partly to blame for the uncharacteristic plethora of injuries. Its probably what made Sam B speak out and get the pink slip. Walker should be removed, young Ward is energetic and plays with aggression. And as much as it pains The Loft, Graham should be retired. It seems as though he cannot play contact football any longer, his corps has collapsed and its best for him to retire.

Munroe seems over anxious, too much anxiety. He needs to be told to slow down, slow the game down, let it come to you. And practice how to successfully use his height in a game. The Legend had tall, big bodied powerhouses in Tuquiri and Sailor one would assume he could coach up Munroe to a higher level.

I love Cody but he’s had his day. We have young talent bubbling up. Latrell… well, for the money and the results, I just don’t know if he’s worth it tbh. We’ve had six years. He has his days but we need them 24 times a season, not thrice. Money vs results… people can decide. Again, talent bubbling through.

I watched it back again today and each and every one of our boys hold your f**king heads high you did South Sydney proud last night! We just ask them to put in and dig deep and that’s what they did played like their lives depended on it. I believe we could’ve won but when you’re on the end of a 15-3 count a sin bin that wasn’t Brailey try that wasn’t what can you expect it’s just impossible. Belinda reffed us fully out of that game she didn’t hide her bias.

Jye was great at the back I thought. Lewis kicked so well getting us out of our own end. I thought Tatola had a strong game I’m absolutely gutted he’s disclosed his shoulder. I thought Jai and Hubner worked themselves to an absolute stand still. I was critical or Ryan Gray in his first two first grade games but well done young man last night you played so much better gave good service and 65 tackles some hard hitting ones too you really put your body on the line last night mate well done with 65 tackles.

Yes we just fell short but with 17-18 players injured we couldn’t ask for anymore the boys were hungry and defended like their lives depend on it.

More of that please lads in our last 5 games and we could win a game or 2.

When we get that next win my Souths faithful we are gonna soak it all up together and saviour the moment. I know the boys will do their best the next 5 weeks. Hopefully we get Cheese, Trell and Cam back on the run home too. Campbell would be nice too but I’m not sure what the latest is.

SSTWD ALL! (South Sydney til we die)

I still think the his body can't take it is a cop out. We thought we had a gun halfback ready to step up in Illias. It was that incredibly poor assessment that lead to one of the greatest mistakes the club has ever made. Other clubs would not have let the greatest goalkicker of alltime leave, we did and we've been paying the price ever since.

Eric Simms is responsible for the rule change were a field goal went from 2 points to 1 point, he wasn't to bad at place kicks either.
