Mcqueen, grant and walker where contacted. We could have kept them if we wanted (maguire especially wanted to keep walker). If mcqueen and Grant weren't moved on because of sam then why are we paying most of their contracts at a new club?
Stewart and luke left, but instead of using that money wisely on a couple of back rowers and a real hooker, we saved it for sam, and it still cost us extra players to fit him in. 5-1 equals more duds in the 1st grade side

I hear from a reliable source there will be a massive clean out at seasons end. This includes playing and coaching staff. Madge is safe but not sure about Wrigley, Collins and Penna. Our training staff will also be scrutinized. Mark Ellison is the new recruitment officer.
The salary cap is going up to $7.2mil next year and we have a total of 14 players off contract but I believe Clark is on the verge of re-signing.

Grant is better then tyrell.
Mcqueen would of kept pressure on turner. Turner is basically a walk up first grader this year thanks to no depth. Might of lost Stewart anyway but could of got a couple of back rowers for his price.
Say we still lost Luke and Stewart, but signed a real hooker ( for arguments sake let's say we picked up a heavily discounted farah as the rumours at the time said we would) we also pick up taupau (as runoured) and a cheapish 2nd rower ( a tom symonds type). Then we'd current have a pack that looks like

And at least in the 1st scenario we'd be in a position to hit the market. In our current situation it is almost impossible with so much money tied up in sam and 2 overpaid and underperforming twins (who it is now impossible to move on)

but we don't even know how much sam is on. maybe the problem is that some of the not so good players are on too much coin, when they should be on the minimum wage.
