Hard to know what to make of that game. We had heaps of repeat sets and didn’t really threaten with many of them, but Wigan did well in defence.
Really didn’t expect the win with the team we put out.

Wigan did well in defense because we didn’t offer them anything to make them struggle. For mine we got value out of the first half, but the second was a waste of 40 mins

Never got the hype about Campbell Graham. I’m Definitely not on the train. Just like last year, still looks like a rabbit in the headlights. Surely next year, after a year with the Bears.

Impressed with the rest. Hunt was strong both in attack and D. Kenner showed some pace, but is a bit of a speed hump in D. Farrah was very impressive, but I can’t see where he fits. Tracey was ok. Hiroti impressed again. Was very impressed with AJ’s backline chiming in. The defensive patterns look solid. The twins hands have improved except for two brain farts. But 2 is a massive improvement, so far.

Not a bad hit out. Can’t wait the watch the relay tomorrow morning.

I think the Dragqueens are going to struggle, nearly a full strength team and really battled to get the win.

On another note this needs to happen more often.
If the WCC is to switch nations every year have friendlies alongside it, more games against different opposition can’t hurt to help the sport overall.
NRL and RFL need to make it manditory for certain teams to play so they can’t try to f**k it off like storm did this year.

He's 18 man. He's not a well rounded first grader yet, but if you look at what he CAN do at this age and consider the type of player he'll become, you can understand the hype.

In under 20s at right centre, he was the stand out performer of the squad

Yeah I get he’s young, and he was good in an under 20s that where far from good, but I’m yet to see anything special. Agree 100% he needs to mature both physically and as a footballer. I’d be really worried if he was even 18th man. But I’m more than happy to be proved wrong and have to eat humble pie, I’ll gladly do it by the bucket loads.

I wouldn't be picking him in first grade yet, but his physicality is up to 1st grade standard, he's quick on his feet and he's a good ball runner.

His positioning in defence will improve with time

He’ll probably be a hell of a first grader in a few years, and I’ll be supporting him all the way. Right now I just get a gangly and unco vibe, and im a little nervous when the opposition heads his way. But when I’m out at North Sydney oval I’ll give him all the encouragement I can. I look forward to becoming a big fan.

@Souths Till I Die

Here you go bro:

Brother I had a ball.... I'm pumped......

I got my photo taken with Roy Asotasi outside the stadium....

I was sitting in the second row from front and a few rows back across a bit were some of our gun players:

I got my photo and shook hands with:

Sam Burgess (he called me buddy in his Pommy accent. He was having a ball watching the Hull fans going nuts)
Dane Gagai (such a lovely bloke like really down to earth)
Adam Reynolds
John Sutton

At half time Angus was walking alongside the fence after his fox interview.... he shook my hand...

After the match I was able to get in the front row and had my photo with George and Jason Clark....

Like seriously I'm on cloud nine!!!!

Was such a good atmosphere.... f**k the ref who denied Hiroti his fair try......

AJ: (solid and did his job..... good support play)
Kennar: (strong under the high ball. Has a motor on him. A bit rusty but I like him.)
Hunt: Magnificent bro. Best on ground and what an effort. Defensively very strong and saved tries plus his carries and line running were great. He was a class above the others (Alicia Newton on Twitter reporting he did his hammy though)
Jennings: (Mixed bag.... he had a good game but his defence is a big concern)
Graham: (Defence was a concern rushing in off his wing. Needs some more development at Norths. Brilliant tackle near the end where he moved to left centre and they had an overlap and what a crunching tackle it was. Alicia Newton on Twitter says he has a hand injury)
Doueihi: (Avery good game..... he's come of age..... he's so strong.... defensive can improve though and it will.... if a half goes down he's in next no doubt)
Farah: (A mixed bag.. was over trying. Some positives there though with his kicking game and defence. Tried to overplay it at times and does not have enough pace)
Tom: Really strong for us.... very good game with strong carries. Deserves a starting spot round 1)
Cook: (what a livewire...... his running game was really good. Strong defensively.... a bit rusty with his passes but that will get better. He has to be our hooker)
Nicholls: (Wow a strong match.... 15 for 153m and 21 tackles with a try assist..... He's a goer)
Fuimaono: (Strong work ethic and carries with good defence. What we've come to expect)
Britt: (Needs to put on a bit more weight but he played pretty well and is a solid back up)
Clark: (Was captain and solid as a rock....... did his job well and the little things)

Tracey: (Looks a bit underdone as to be expected but he's quick on his feet and has a footy brain and he saved a couple of tries.... behind Doueihi at this stage though imo)
Ta'avale: (not much game time but had a few solid runs)
George: (well he was strong and did his job. A good hit out)
Tatola: (A wrecking ball of energy. Needs to work on the little things but he's got great talent. A good back up)
Hiroti: (A couple of errors from trying so hard but something is there in him. He's a strong little bugger too. Did well at fullback in the second half and has good footwork. That was a try he scored too..... he will only get better with a year at Norths)
Talakai: (Poor. Couldn't hold the ball and fairly quiet... Wass trying too hard I think)
Gagan: (Didn't get much time)

For round 1 I feel Hunt has to be there and play on the wing.... he's so solid!!!!

If fit here is my 21 man squad:

AJ
Kennar
Gagai
GI
Hunt
Cody
AR
Tom
Cook
Sam
Fuimaono
Crichton
Murray

Sutton
Musgrove
George
Turner

Farah
Clark
Nicholls
Jennings

It was great to see the expansive style of footy and some of the new structure.... a breath of fresh air it was.... I'm pumped....

I now feel we have better depth options this year........

With hunger and energy comes success......

Bring it on!!!!!!!

When GI is comfortable again and found his feet I'd have him at fullback and play Hunt at centre....

When GI first comes back:

AJ
Kennar
Gagai
GI
Hunt

When he returns to fullback:

GI
Kennar
Gagai
Hunt
AJ

Did you shake his hand?
Edit Sorry I may be incorrect but I thought some of your previous statements indicated that Angus was someone you probably wouldn't shake hands with,
I'll clear this up but if that's all you want to say to my constructive posts that's nitpicking....

I shook his hand...... but I would never have a photo with him like all the others were....

He's actually a nice guy.... very mature....

Can you blame him for getting more money and all these extra incentives he will get at Rorters???........

All I ask is he puts his all in this season.....

Of course I'm not happy he's going but I've calmed down now about that.......

Of course we get wound up and say things out of passion sometimes......

If he does not put in I'll be absolutely livid....

What makes a photo worse than a handshake?
Edit: Not starting trouble Just curious.

To me photos are more memorable and special...

They are things you keep or look back on....

Whereas I won't really remember a handshake as much but that's me personally....

To me a photo is like next level....

I don't know if I'm just old or what.

But I was always raised to believe that a handshake was a sign of mutual respect between two persons.

If a selfie now ranks higher than this I'll hang up my boots.

For the record, I gladly shake the hand of any stranger I meet because I firmly believe in mutual respect until given otherwise reason.

In Angus' case he has shown all Rabbitoh's Members/Fans the ultimate disrespect by signing with the filth. Therefore I would never shake his hand, get an autograph, have a selfie. I am not saying that I would scream abuse at him, more likely go in for the handshake, throw the dummy and turn my back on him, like he did to us.

Are Wigan a good side in the super league pommy? They’ve got some good young players. Marshall was great.

Nice little analysis R20. I’m really expecting big things from Hunt this year. He already had defence down packed but it’s good to see he’s adding a new dimension to his game. Hiroti and Nicholls were massive surprises for me. I never knew Hiroti could play fullback. That was a shocker to me. He has a great running game.

Nicholls was just WOW. He seriously does not stop. What an absolute workhorse of a prop! I feel like if he goes well next week then he’s earned a spot in our 17.

I’m still not getting the hype over Jennings. I don’t know if I’m the only one who sees it but nothing last night convinced me he deserves a spot over Hunt. Definitely has potential.

I fell in love with the Hull supporters, great bunch of Ladies and Gentlemen and can they drink OMG they can drink.
Went back with them to their hotel across from ANZ,f**k the bar fridge they had storage tubs full of ice and beer in their rooms, talk about the song"I get knocked down but I get up again"!
Would be the first person on a plane if we ever took a tour to England....awesome night!
