Radio coverage

Yeah, it can be confusing... I always try and find commentary through BBC local stations page here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/england/radindex.shtml

This evening's (Saturday) Harlequins game (and every Harlequins home and away game should be available through BBC London www.bbc.co.uk/london

Catalans home games I'm never sure of radio coverage.... There might be some local French commentary, not sure of whether it's on the net? Am not sure that any local BBC station rugby league budgets extend to sending an English commentary team with the travelling side to Perpignan.

Sunday afternoon games, try BBC Leeds via http://www.bbc.co.uk/leeds/local_radio/index.shtml, and Warrington will be on the BBC Merseyside AM feed (if you can get it) via http://www.bbc.co.uk/liverpool/local_radio/index.shtml? It also depends on what local soccer/football is being covered too, and sometimes the occasional league game pops up on BBC Five Live/Extra - the World Club Challenge next week for example.

The skysports.com "launch scorecentre" feature is quite useful for Catalans game updates if there's no other means. They still call them UTC, but it shows line-ups, scorers and interchanges as they happen.

Catalans 6-0 up over Wigan after 5 mins...

I find the BBC site frustrating too, often for Bulls games I will also tune into BCB (Bradford Community Broadcasting, http://www.bcb.yorks.com/index.php) if I can't get to the BBC site. Their commentary is a little more amateur-hour, sometimes it's downright funny, and as much as they try to be objective, it's very clear they're Bulls supporters.

Regulations changed recently, and a lot of the stations that used to webcast were made to pay extra money to the regulatory authorities if they were feeding music overseas, so a most of the music stations have blocked their signal to Oz, some of them used to feed games on the weekends

The Superleague site is also good for that, it's only god scoring and interchanges though, so you can sit there for 5-10 mins sometime with no updates coming through

Superleague site live scores sometimes crash with the traffic I've noticed. Haven't tried sportinglife's live updates, might give them a look this arvo.

Good idea with the radio sticky PNRL, might be worth waiting and combining it with other details like the news links and draws etc on here when they're all done...

What is it with the drawn games so far this season? Conditions aren't great for goal kicking, but when games are decided on a kick you'd think sides would make sure they can get it right.
