Rich Gannon is almost 40

Bill Romanowski is almost 40

John Elway is over 40 and still the best player the NFL has ever seen.

Oakland are on the way down. They are still relying on no running game and I think that now that all teams know what is coming the Raiders are in trouble. Charlie Garner has to be given more of an opportunity to run the ball, sure he is doing great as a receiver but you need a solid running game to be competitive

Not the best starts and this season is going toi be tough....hopefully we are blooding some younger fellas under the age of 35 for next season :lol: I agree...Garner needs to see more of the ball!

Fargas has been promoted ahead of Wheatley on the depth chart at running back so there is some glimpse of a possible future, but I think the biggest worry has to be the future of the Raiders passing/receiving game. There is nothing behind Gannon that is worth getting excited about and the only descent receiver who will still be around after 2 or 3 years is Porter, he has a long future ahead of him but you need more than just 1 WR to carry a passing game.

hey! im a raiders fan. and i'd like to second that comment made by pennywisealfie. so what if we do have old players. rich gannon can still pull out big games like seen in week 4. and with WR's like jerry rice and tim brown its no wonder they were the best offesnce last year. but your right legend and paullyboy that oakland are on the way down. their players are getting close to retirement and untill the replacement can get some more game time they wont be at full potential. but in the meantime those "oldies" are still some of the best players in the game today
