Raiders goalkicking up in the air

The story on WIN TV news tonight reported that the goalkicking duties for season 2005 are still up in the air. The goalkicking duties were taken away from Clinton Schifcofske during the last season, as his form slumped. However, Schifcofske is trying to get them back on a permanent basis. He was practising his kicking during a hot summer's day at the Raiders' HQ at Bruce - and was out on the field alone. He said he would be doing his best to get his form back on track and clearly securing the No 1 goalkicking role at the club.

There was also a story on WIN TV news tonight about a campaign to get office workers to wear pedometers and walk at least 10,000 steps a day. Michael Robertson was there to lend his support.... and encouraged everyone to get walking.

Hopefully he can capture some of his past Goal Kicking Form and Good on him for taking time out to Pratice individually.
WHo would the other Goal Kicking Options be? Todd Carney, Matt Gafa, ?

Yes

I think with Darryl Halligan as our new goal kicking coach, it won't really matter who is our kicker. I'd like Schif to have it, cos he's a champ, and I think if he wants it that bad, then it can only be a good thing, but on the whole, as long as the ball goes through the posts, I don't really mind who gets it.

I think Schif is odds on to be our #1 goal kicker next year, with Gafa I am struggling to see where he can get a spot in the backline next year, sad but it also shows how much depth we got in the backline.
If Gafa plays I imagine he would play on the wing, so those 2 spots will come down to, Chalk, Graham, N.Smith, Robbo, Gafa, Alley Tovio and Milne (I assume Mogg and Frawley will be centres)

Tough competition for spots.

the only chance we'll have to kick goals will be penalties, anywhere within the opposition half knowing Elliott.
