Doesn't the silver membership give you a ticket to any home or away game (including Brisbane)? Or is it the fact you're after 2 tickets?

So a cost of $120 for me and my partner to go to the football for 1 game before paying $4.50 for each beer.

Not very good value at all.

I think the Silver membership is all about those who aren't locals and just want to be financial members of the club - so yeah, if you're after pure value for money then you're entitled to do whatever works best. :)

It's always hard for interstate fans as the club can't really offer any true "value for money" entry into the games.

Ask not what the club can do for you, but what you can do for the club.

Seriously though, becoming a member of the club is value enough IMO. I know if i lived away from Canberra I would join every year. I am an international member of Leeds United, and I have never even been to England FFS.

Entry to the game you're getting into for free would be $30 each, so you're already half to getting your money back
you get a keyring as part of the merch for being a member, thats probably $5 each, so you got $25 to go
you get a members hat as part of the merch for being a member, thats another $20 each, so you've now only got $5 value to redeem

for that $5, you get the chance to buy $15 home tickets from the club direct if you ever make a home game (saving of over $10 per game attended each) plus members benifits, which are:

-10% discount on Raiders merchandise purchased through www.raiders.com.au or Jerseys for Work and Play, Brand Depot (Canberra)
-Invite to members only ‘Pre-Season BBQ with the Team’ at Raiders HQ
-Raiders ‘Green-Eyed’ photo. (NB: Taken at Pre-Season BBQ with the Team - featuring all available Club players/coaches, sponsors and members)
-Exclusive members only discounts from Raiders corporate partners
-Automatic subscription to the Raiders weekly on-line newsletter
-Log in and access to members only section of www.raiders.com.au for all the latest and inside news
-Access to members only activities and events at all 2009 home games-Discount on membership for future seasons
-----------

Even if you dont make the pre season BBQ, a game at Bruce or read the online newsletter, or use the members only section, or re-new the following the following year, or use the discount to get cheap goods from Raider's sponsors...

You're measley 5 bucks is just your way of supporting the club, at worst you've lost $5 of value to be a Raiders member but are support the financially... at best you're WAY ahead of the $60 tag asssosiated.

I dont think value for money is an issue on this membership mate ;-)

Here's hoping the envelope isnt crumpled and they spell you're name right this year. Could be the difference between a top 4 and missing the 8 :p

Confirmed :) ... as you well know Nick, with very few exceptions, I am the forgiving type.

All jokes aside the club exhibited a level of unprofessionalism imo last season ... the membership letter sent out this year was more akin with it's ambitions to reach a figure of 5K ... anything short of that woul have had the brumbies CEO rubbing his hands.

GO THE RAIDERS IN 2009

I will say this, i never mentioned it last year as it would have only served to add to your point Bay, but last year i had alot of drama paying for and then recieving my membership, took them about a month and 5 phone calls on my behalf to process it and finally send my card out... this season remains to be seen, i re-newed my on thursday so we'll see how its handled in 09 for interstate members

Off topic, but let me know when you eventually get to Elland Road, I'll put you in touch with some mates of mine who are there every week.

2164 Baby.

Hopefully we crack the 3000 before the end of the year, putting us in a good position for a pre-season surge to 5000.
