Whatever happened to Jermaine Ale?

Absolutely carved in Premier League, had one or two first grade games and then disappeared.

Lives in Adelaide. Got mixed up with an outlaw bikie gang known as Coopers... Changed his name by deed poll and now goes by the name of Pale Ale..I think it is the same bloke!!!

Look Robbo plays well above his weight but I'll be an old old man before I see Robbo make a line break. He just doesn't have that presence about him in terms of knowing where to be to slice open a side out wide.

The face ball that Howell got off Carney in the Parra game that sent him streaming through the line and heading downfield... great ball but also great hole running. After a nervous start to the season I think Howell is improving. That said there is a fair queue of talent waiting in the wings, so his spot should not be automatic.

Ale was one of those blokes who never recovered from Elliott
in the few games he played, he looked a capable FG... he made a few rookie mistakes and was banished and never sighted again. Still think with better coaching he'd be a good FG today

Jermaine Ale showed a lot of talent from memory coming through the grades. He didn't make it 'cause

a) His lateral movement for an outside back was horrendous and
b) He was extremely lazy

Craig Frawley was a different case, he showed quite a bit at his time at the Broncos in FG but just couldn't quite replicate it here. He also had a lot of bad injuries didn't he (knee??)

I have no idea what the hoopla for the Howell brothers was about, they seemed to be pretty average to me when they came from the Merge. Apart from a few decent games at fullback David was atrocious, and I don't remember Michael getting a run in the top grade here

Fantastic news. They are both good young players.

Slightly happier

Looks like David Howell is struggling to crack the London Broncos 17 atm, I reckon we bring him home in 2014. He will be 30 by then and add some experience to our young squad. The change of scenery will do him good.

you are kidding right?

There would be literally 12 players in front of him now... he would never get a run

LOL so he embraced the mispronunciation of his name? Isn't he Samoan?....his surname would be pronounced "Ah-leh" (2 syllables)

I never minded David Howell.

Wasn't brilliant but usually did a job.

I think I was the only one.
