Todd is yet to fire away from the ACT so we arent losing much if you look at it that way.

We could see Campo at 5/8 yet.

Campo is no 5/8 he should come in as lock and move Zillman there and Graham fullback
so the young guys can come in like Goodwin or Seu

I feel apprehensive today for some reason.
High on anxiety, fearful of anything.

I feel, I feel like Mr. Jelly from the Mr. Men series.

I don't like what I'm wearing and I just had a poop and I feel all squishy and hot.

There's a game on tomorrow night eh?

It's a shame I don't own my own computer otherwise I could give blow by blow updates on Canberra's progress.

See......Penrith umm.......they played half decent last Saturday night against MLB in the wet weather.
So tomorrow night look for a much improved performance.

One woman has tipped Canberra in today's Daily Telegraph.

Canberra are a crazy $3:75.

I think Gower Power is going to run rings all over you.

And I've been backing Res Wesser for Fox' MOTM lately so expect him to explode because he's been sh*t so far this year.

Does every Fox game have MOTM betting?

I'll back Wesser for a big one tomorrow night.

Sorry Canberra but you're in trouble again.

The week after we're back at Bruce against Manly so that's the upside I guess.

I can see Raiders putting only 10 on Penrith. It'll be tight but Penrith to bombs away late in the second half.

Let's see a better performance from Zillman eh? Come on, D-up guys.

Is Carney out? So who's you half back then?

BSB Raiderman....yes, you're still 4th down & ninety.

What...because you beat Easts did you think you gained 10 and was 1st & 80?

Well, the Sharks game pretty much put you back to 4th & 90.

Injury has forced a couple of changes to the Raiders line-up for tomorrow's clash with the Panthers at CUA Stadium, with Scott Logan out with a neck injury, and Todd Carney in doubt with a quad strain.
Logan's omission has seen Trevor Thurling added to the Raiders bench for the match against the Panthers, with Dane Tilse promoted to the starting line-up to cover for the loss of the big prop forward.
Terry Campese has been named as a standby for Carney who will undergo a final fitness test this morning, and he will start the game at five-eighth if Carney is unavailable through his injury.
Raiders Coach Neil Henry said the return of Josh Miller is a good sign for the team, and said he is confident that Campese would be ready for the challenge.
"Josh Miller is back which is good, and Dane Tilse will move into the front row to partner Troy Thompson," Henry said. "Terry Campese has been training at six all week and he’s a very versatile player, he’s got a good kicking game and a good set of hands so he’s certainly a good option."
Henry said Glen Turner’s withdrawal earlier in the week with a hamstring injury will see Ben Jones moving into the starting side, and he has confidence the changes won’t hamper the game plan too much.
"Our likely back row will be Neville on the left hand side with Ben Jones on the right and Alan Tongue at Lock," he said. "We’ve trained this week with an extended squad and the guys know what they have to do."
Josh Miller is one player that is looking forward to a return to football after sustaining a rib injury, and he said he is ready to take on the big Panthers pack.
"My ribs have felt good throughout the week and I’ll be glad to get out there Saturday night and give them a test out against the Panthers," Miller said. "They’ve got a lot of good forwards and they’re coming off a few losses so they’ll be fired up Saturday night."
Neville Costigan also returns this week after serving a one match suspension, and he said he is fit and ready to go, and the rest of the Raiders pack would be ready to cover their injured team mates.
"I had a week off and rested up well so I’m pumped to get out there this weekend and play well," Costigan said. "We’ve lost Scott Logan and Michael Weyman but we still have Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Troy Thompson and Josh Miller so we should be fine."

You really don't know what Panthers team you're going to get week to week. It could be one that could blow any team off the park, but it could also be one that more or less hands the opposition victory without having to exert too much effort.

What team will run out this Saturday, it's a lottery. But we'll be tagged favourites, which historically in a recent sense is bad for us.
Such a conundrum. Elliott's strength was getting 100% out of his team every week. That's the only reason the Raiders were competitive the last 5 years. We were a sh!t team with an inspirational coach...what have you b@stards done with him!

Is Priddis playing half back this week? I think Gower would look good in the second row. :|

Penrith are a shoo-in for this game and they better make the most of it with Elliott sure to have so many talented players out during the Origin series. :|

Gower keen to battle

By Iain Payten

April 28, 2007 MATT Elliott expects "belligerent" Penrith captain Craig Gower to lead the Panthers into battle against Canberra tonight just 48 hours after being taken to hospital with a serious virus.

Gower spent Thursday night on a drip in hospital suffering a virus and elevated temperature - throwing doubt over his availability for the Raiders clash and chances of holding his New South Wales jersey.

The Penrith halfback returned home yesterday and will be assessed again this morning, but Elliott believes the tenacious Gower will rise from his sickbed and declare himself fit.

"I spoke to him earlier today and he said he felt great but sounded like he was about to die," Elliott said.

"My guess will be that I'll ring him tomorrow about 11am and he'll say he's fine and that he'll play."

Though expected to be named in the City Origin side to play Country next week, Gower's quiet early-season form means he'll need strong performances to prevent Brett Kimmorley assuming the NSW halfback spot.

Elliott said Gower would not be entertaining thoughts of rep footy, however, but simply how to turn around Penrith's three-match losing streak.

"All that Craig is thinking about now is how he can contribute to the team; selection stuff looks after itself," Elliott said.

"You'd guess people know what Craig is going to provide in rep football by now."

The virus that hospitalised Gower has swept through Penrith over the past fortnight, also affecting lock Nathan Smith and centre Luke Lewis.

Asked if he needed to exercise caution on behalf of the famously tough Gower in regards to tonight's match, Elliott said: "You do that at your own peril. He can be a little bit of a belligerent bugger at times, Craig.

"He is a very good professional. If he thinks he is going to hamper the team, I know him well enough to know he won't play."

Up against his old team Canberra for the first time, Elliott played down the news that in-form Raiders five-eighth Todd Carney (quad) was yesterday ruled out, along with forwards Scott Logan (neck) and Glen Turner (hamstring).

If Gower is ruled out, five-eighth Peter Wallace will shift into halfback and Lewis will be the likely replacement at pivot.
