Diablo, the Prime Evil, chuckled deep in his unholy throat as his new opponents shuffled nervously into the improbably big cathedral that lay on the outskirts of the pissant village, Tristram.

"Welcome, foolish mortals," his voice boomed, "You are here to test your mettle against Diablo, the Lord of Destruction? You will perish in these shadowy depths. My minions will feast on your guts. And should you make it to my infernal domain? I will suck the marrow from your bones and -"

His diatribe came to an abrupt end with a flash of bright light. The Lord of Destruction had been turned to little more than motes of light and dust.

Misanthrope is dead. He was Diablo, Diablo Aligned Lord of Destruction.
