Toohey said Watson's deal is $450k IIRC

What a fantastic deal. That sort of money for a dynamic player like Watson is a steal if he is fit 90% if the season. If he misses significant time through injury, it's not too bad.

Feel the momentum building though. Club strongly going in one uniform direction and holding onto key players. I don't think I can sit through another decade long rebuild.

Is Best a rookie? Even if he isn't technically, how good is the bloke? Has intelligence to back up his physical play?

Bradman Best....lock him up longterm now and don't let him out of your sight.

His defence for such a young man in the centres is rare and impressive. Even the best centres in the game struggled defensively at the start. This guy just handles things so well there. A very rare talent.

Really? He was over rated?? How? I don't understand...
IMO highly over rated. There was some media talk of Inglis being an immortal which is just nuts.

Inglis was a good player no doubt about that, and a great player when his team was going well. But if the team was under the pump he wasnt the man to save the day, more often than not you wouldnt even notice he was on the field

I have to admit 90% of games I saw Inglis play were against NSW and Newcastle so he killed it most games.

GI was arguably the best big game player I've ever seen but wasn't the most consistent week to week footballer. He never went close to winning a Dally M and only made team of the year twice over his career. IMO Hayne was a better club footballer than GI

Is Shibasaki a rookie? He looked better than Tuala for mine. Could be because he was up against the Broncos... He seems super comfortable in defense which is something I've never said about a Knights centre before...

Enari has been killing it imo. Shibs was ok but no where near as good as Enari in 'd'. I thought the Broncs were brainless failing to target Shibas side all night. Reckon they would have put a few tries on if they were able to get the ball out there enough.

Is Best the best rookie that has come through the club since the Johns brothers?

Kid can take a hit up, can use footwork, can defend, can attack and draw and pass. Aggressive to boot as well. Look forward to watching him play every week. 7 tries in 10 games~

Don’t want to rate/compare backline, Tuala is going better than I thought he might on wing, Moga has proved strong with a few errors so for time being let’s leave it at Hunt, always strong, Moga, Best, no need for comment, and Tuala. Shibs is a good fill in.
Trouble with comparing you tend to run one down to justify building the other up.

It's early days but I think for players who've made their debut with us since I really started watching the Knights I would say Uate was best. He also provided plenty of joy (some frustrations too).

I'm still waiting to see if Bradman can be the guy to bust the line and score some long range tries. But i'm liking what he's offering so far and I'm sure he'll be a beast in the years to come.
