My 2 cents worth:

WT 2015 squad

Sitaleki Akauola - SR, LK, CE, WG – cannot comment, haven’t seen enough of him

Luke Brooks - HB, FE- has been assigned as one of our rising stars and all our hopes placed on his, and a few others, shoulders. Has performed reasonably well but needs a go forward pack of forwards to work behind and a flexible, speedy backline to feed. WT currently lacking in both forwards and backs.

Jack Buchanan - PR, SR- hasnt really set the world on fire with the opportunities he has had.

Josh Drinkwater - HB- limited opportunity behind Brooks, but definitely second best.

Robbie Farah (c) - HK, HB- is one of our few stars, and all our hopes placed on his, and a few others, shoulders. Has not had the spark this season and not worth the $900k p.a salary however, if he is doing what is asked of him by the coach in giving the halves the organising role, he can do no more. If not, his attitude and performance is well down on past efforts for the side.

Asipeli Fine - CE- cannot comment, haven’t seen enough of him

Keith Galloway - PR- despite being one of two starting props hasnt set the world on fire. Reasonably solid but for a player of his experience I expect more of him.

Dene Halatau - LK, HK, CE, SR – good all-rounder and back up, valuable as interchange.

Delouise Hoeter - WG, CE, FB - hasnt really set the world on fire with the opportunities he has had.

Chris Lawrence - CE, FE, LK – wasn’t able to get his groove back as a centre but when able to play in the backrow has performed well. Reshuffling due to injury to other players hasn’t really given him a change to settle into backrow but shows promise.

Lamar Liolevave - SR - cannot comment, haven’t seen enough of him

Matthew Lodge - PR- hasnt really set the world on fire with the opportunities he has had, shows glimpses of potential at times though.

Kyle Lovett - SR, LK, CE - hasnt really set the world on fire with the opportunities he has had.

Joel Luani - HK, LK - cannot comment, haven’t seen enough of him

Keith Lulia - CE, WG, SR - cannot comment, haven’t seen enough of him

Penani Manumalealii - HB, FE - cannot comment, haven’t seen enough of him

Tim Moltzen - FB, FE, HB, CE – injury has cruelled his confidence and ability to play in the rough and tumble of NRL standard football. His time at WT is up.

Mitchell Moses - FE, FB- has been assigned as one of our rising stars and all our hopes placed on his, and a few others, shoulders. Has performed well spasmodically and inconsistently but needs a go forward pack of forwards to work behind and a flexible, speedy backline to feed. WT currently lacking in both forwards and backs.

Kevin Naiqama - WG, FB, CE – an experienced winger, good in attack but not so good in defence and under the high ball.

David Nofoaluma - WG – developing into a worthwhile player.

Pat Richards - WG, FB – a great winger who probably played one season too long in the NRL. Great boot and goal kicker but his speed and agility for the backline is just not there anymore.

Kurtis Rowe - FB - hasnt really set the world on fire with the opportunities he has had

Brenden Santi - LK, SR - hasnt really set the world on fire with the opportunities he has had, is not the defensive tyro that Fulton was to WT.

Ava Seumanufagai - PR- hasnt really set the world on fire with the opportunities he has had, shows glimpses of potential at times though.

Tim Simona - CE, WG, FB – has his chance now to cement a starting spot in the backline, developing well.

Curtis Sironen - SR, LK - has been assigned as one of our rising stars and all our hopes placed on his, and a few others, shoulders. Has not developed yet despite constant refrains of his potential, maybe needs to play alongside an experienced, older backrower- something WT lack. Not sure how much longer WT can persevere with him before being sent back to the State Cup to develop his game further there.

Sauaso Sue - SR - developing into a worthwhile player, valuable as interchange

Martin Taupau - PR - developing into a worthwhile player, valuable as interchange with his aggro and passion. Something lacking for often than not with the WT pack. Not an 80 minute player yet though.

James Tedesco - FB, CE, WG - has been assigned as one of our rising stars and all our hopes placed on his, and a few others, shoulders. Has performed well behind a beaten team nmore often than not. Needs a go forward pack of forwards to work behind and a flexible, speedy backline to feed off. WT currently lacking in both forwards and backs. I hope he perseveres with WT rather than take an opportunity for success elsewhere.

Aaron Woods - PR - has been assigned as one of our rising stars and all our hopes placed on his, and a few others, shoulders. Has performed well despite a limp forward pack and an insipid backline. SOO selection has rewarded his efforts. I hope he perseveres with WT rather than take an opportunity for success elsewhere.

Appreciate the effort you've gone too. It's a bit of a confusing read though. It's like you wrote some of it last year or the year before.

Tedesco & Woods have been great. Taupau very good in patches. The rest have been very average bar one or two.

If you were to rate the team honestly on performance 1-10 this year it would legitimately be like a 2 or 3 at best, we are horrendous

Only reason I'd put in higher than 1 is the promise showed in certain games (Souths and Dogs)

Really our only players who would get starts at other clubs are tedesco, Nofo, Simona, taupau, woods and Farah. Actually probably Lawrence after his transition to backrow.

Ava, sue, lodge, cherrington and the halves worth persisting with for now.

No one else would make the 17 in any other team in the NRL.

Sironen has been shit but I don't think it's totally his fault. He is being used as a battering ram which doesn't suit. A coach like des hasler could turn him into a rep back rower fairly easily IMO. There's no reason he can't play like a Glenn Stewart and be better at it.

Five Eighth - 1/10

I don't get how Moses is rated so poorly. He looks better than Brooks in my opinion at this point. Brooks has had more flash throughout the season but I reckon Moses has been pretty good.

I thought he was definitely one of our better players against Parra and he seems to be making minimal mistakes as well as having a couple of positive plays every game.

I still reckon that he looks like Tedesco did when he was in his first year or so of first grade. Not great but with the potential to kick on. Time will tell if he has that ability or not but I'd be sticking with him for sure.

a five-eighth who runs with the ball less than the halfback, in my view, is a poor five-eighth.

no variety to his kicking game, rarely gets his outside men 1 on 1 with their opposite, or puts them into gaps.

failing in those areas is bigger than anything he's doing right

A pretty fair summation Mad Unit. I think you were more than generous with you score for the coach but then I noticed you were not giving half scores so 1 it is.

There used to be an old TV show called the Weakest Link....I wish someone would say to Taylor "Sorry, you have been voted off" because some of his ideas, game plans and comments made in media conferences have infuriated me as a supporter.

I'd go for the following rates:

Fullback - 8/10- agree. Working behind a poor team he does best possible

Wing - 2/10- Id score them slightly worse due to comparison with other teams

Centre - 1/10- agree- took a while to shift Lawrence to backrow and the alternates are just not working well at present

Five Eighth - 4/10- I'd go a bit more a he is a work in progress and has flashes of ability as well as many bad bits. My opinion is that the NRL team should not be used as a learning role- that is for the State Cup team. Coaches and clubs fault not Moses.

Halfback - 5/10- about right. Again a work in progress but shows a bit more right than wrong compared to Moses.

Props - 8/10- Id go a bit higher purely on Woods efforts, Galloway though is not really matching Woods though.

Hooker - 5/10- Im going a bit lower- Farah has been nowhere near his best of a few years ago. Dont know what it is and probably coaches instructions are inhibiting him but the spark is missing and has been missing all season.

Back Row - 2/10- agree. Pathetic. Lawrence though is coming good but the others are just not performing and we dont have any pressure from lower grades. A huge problem for WT.

Bench - 4/10- Apart from Taupau, not too much to cheer about there, solid, if uninspiring.

Coach - 1/10- His plans and actions are totally unfathomable at present. Who could possibly agreed to have written off an entire season as a learning experience for the WT younguns? Seems to lack fire and passion.

General comment- With the season approaching its final portion I do not see the development and skills happening in the targeted young players blooding and 2016 portends much of the same as this year since WT are not really recruiting anyone to address weaknesses.

I checked the score for the coach and it was one. That confirms the rating for Moses is way out of line. There is no way that JT and his structures are at the same level that Moses is at.

To be fair you would need negative scores to rate the coach.

It's entirely correct. Just like Moses has jagged some good moments together, the tigers have had a few decent showings.

1 is correct for both
