i think i will bump this thread.

a quarter of the season has passed and the ravens are still undefeated.

how much better will they be when mcnair gets comfortable with the offense?

remember where you heard it first.

.

Youve jinxed them.
Lost 2 in a row and McNair injured in the first quarter.
Always liked McNair.(then again I'm a Titans fan and they finally cracked a win).

mcnair has been average all season but pulled out a couple of late wins.

however he was terrible against the broncos and looked like he was going to be terrible again today before the injury. then boller comes in and throws 3 tds and generally stretched the field with some longer throws. the ravens d couldn't contain the panthers passing game so the ravens lost.

i still think mcnair will be much better toward the latter part of the season but it will be interesting to see who will start in week 8. the offense seemed to click better with boller but then boller always was hot and cold. mcnair still seems the safer bet at this stage.

Let's review the Ravens QB situation:
*Win SB with Dilfer
*Dump Dilfer straight after
*Sign Grbac
*Find out he's no leader and the offense still sucks
*Grbac retires
*Draft a Tedford QB with freakish ability
*Start him from day one despite being the most under done first round QB in years(Note Palmer and Leftwich were drafted above him but were sitting on the bench)
*Boller struggles with injury and speed of the game
*2 years of hardship finally puts together a few good games of TD's, beatiful throws and no picks
*After perservering through Bollers growing pains, decide to dump him for a declining Air Mcnair.

Brian Billick is lucky he's inherited that defense, because for an offensive guru, he really has no idea and in any other organisation, would've probably run them into the ground by now.

3/4 of the season is over with and the ravens are 9 and 3.

since my last post billick took over playcalling duties and the ravens offense was somewhat revived.

but against the bengals they were awful. i don't think mcnair threw a pass longer than 10 yards in the air for the entire game until his last throw for a td. how is an offense supposed to do anything if you don't stretch the field.

the only two opportunities we've had to see the ravens have been on rainy, miserable days unfortunately. that may have something to do with the dour games we have had to endure both times.

mcnair doesn't have to be spectacular, he only needs to keep the offense on the field long enough for the d to get some rest. not the 3 and outs we saw yesterday.

i still believe mcnair can lead the ravens to the superbowl but if it rains he can't go into his shell because the 2 times he has done that the ravens have lost badly.

btw, i believe the loss was the best thing for them. now they will have to fight till the bitter end to get that first week bye in the finals. none of that resting players to contend with which stalls a team's momentum.

it's going to be a great finals series in the afc this season.
