During Dragons TV games, whenever Ray appeared on sreen, I would say to my kids - I want that guy's job.

Then, in 2009, i attended a sponsors training session - as a guest of a sponsor - and got 4 signatures.
Bennet, Gasnier, Costigan and Ray Connelly.

Ray, you were a fine club and community man, with a wealth of knowledge about players and the game..
You will be missed.
Rest in Peace.

This guy was around the club a very long time. His face would always pop up on screen when the Saints played. May you rest in Peace Ray. You lived a dream life of a Dragons fan being around the Dragons camp all these years.

There was a really great article in The Sunday Telegraph by David Riccio about Mr Connelly. It was an interesting read as its people like him who are the glue of a football club. If anyone has access to Code Sports, they can probably post the text of it.
