Ray Hadley gives it to Willie Mason

There was a caller who phoned through to 2gb this morning and spoke with Ray regarding the book signing the NSW players participated in yesterday. The caller was having a book signed by Mason and apparantly Mason thought that it would be funny to sign the little kid's book with Craig Fitzgibbon's name :? :? Where's the humour in that???

It's apparantly been caught on video tape as well. I wonder what Mr Hadley will make of it.

Ray then proceeded to give Mason quite a big serve, calling him a "drug taker" and "boofhead" amongst other things.

I guess Mason can scratch Hadley's name off his Christmas Card list this year!!

Listening to it now on the radio, Mason's a bloody idiot, how can he not realise that all eyes are on every little thing he does. Especially with the Bulldogs new code of conduct he should no better.

Ray just said he expects Willie Mason to be sacked by the bulldogs by the close of business!

The other night when he was interviewed by FOX SPORTS live after the game ( Fairfax interview I think ) , he swore outright then on camera too when replying to a question.

I know it was obviously a tongue slip , but its just another notion to support the boofhead image that is Willie.

I hope the NRL sacks the guy from the competition. DE-REGISTERED was what I keep hearing from a few " mates " ;-)

I can't believe Mason would go and do something so stupid given his history. He deserves all the criticism he gets. It's almost as if he is asking for bad publicity. I'd like to see if there is anyone willing to defend him. I think i'd better check the Bulldogs board.

I don't think a sacking for signing a book wrong is proportionate. It's a bad piece of judgement probably less of a scale as Darren Lockyer's joke. It seems that when it comes to Mason, everyone wants to exaggerate.

Now when it comes to Gasnier's phone message scandal, that's another thing altogether. If Mason or any other Bulldog was actively involved in that I'd say sack them.

I don't think it's just the signing of a book wrong everyone is upset about, it's his swearing in front of children and drawing rude drawings etc which is much more unacceptable. Also he is currently being interviewed by the NRL regarding the phone calls made by Gasnier as he was in the cab at the same time as well as O'Meley and Waterhouse.

Mason's a total goose (not least of all for saying he wants to play for the All Blacks in Union -- when he's meant to be passionate about playing for Australia in League ffs!) and I couldn't care less if he's booted -- BUT Hadley's so fired up about him at the moment because Mason was badmouthing Hadley at the Liverpool function this week, in front of the media and other folks... Hadley apparently made an official complaint about it to the NRL. I mean, can't a guy have an opinion? Frankly, I think Hadley's a cancer on the sport. I guess the same can be said of Big Willie now, though...

Eh, I'm just ranting waiting for the Eels/Dragons game!
