Hi hoping for some insider info for the Rd10 double header game as I am going to be in town and will be attending Suncorp for the first time, can't wait!

Q:

Does the ticket cover both games and where do i get one from?
Where would you recommend I sit?
Where's the best place to get a drink before the game?
In the city where is the best place to eat and drink?

Cheers for any helpful info.

Yes, the ticket covers both games,
get one from www.ticketek.com.au (broncos wrbsite also has a link)
Suncorp Stadium is a great ground to watch footy from behind the goalposts will be the cheapest, and.you het a fecemt view (not sure if the tickets cost more for the double header than a regular game as im a season member)
my tickets are front row of the second tiet in the corner and their great.

Tickets are exactly the same price as normal season games. Awesome huh.

Behind the goals are about $30. You won't find a bad seat at Suncorp and if you go for end section go for Caxton St end as it is closer to the pubs and you will get to walk down the shut off road and yahoo with all us other dickheads and generally get more of the atmosphere. The 1st game is teh Broncs game and about 15k will leave after that if they lose. It kinda bums the atmosphere for the second but it can't be helped.

I have gone every year and I love the night.

At Suncorp I always try to go for tickets in the top tier in the middle of the field. You get a great view, and it's far cheaper than even tickets in the bottom tier in line with the try line. If you look at the venue map these sections are 722, 721, 601 and 602. Although in saying that the only terrible seats I've ever had at Suncorp are in the bottom corners, avoid them!

The annoying thing is with Ticketek is you can't pick your seat when you book online, you can only book Gold, Blue, White etc and it just automatically puts you in a section in these categories. To beat this I usually book my tickets over the phone and you can choose the exact section you sit in.

To drink before the game - I would recommend Iceworks. Caxton is obviously popular but I'm not much of a fan, Iceworks is right across the road from Suncorp, just down the road from the Caxton.

Caxton St is a fair hike from the city if you're going on foot, but only a short cab/train ride. But there are plenty of places to eat and drink on Caxton St, right near the Stadium.

601 or 602 at the bottom is awesome imo.

I'm at the bottom row, with a bit extra room for my feet and obviously no one in front of me, and the view is fantastic if you're an admirer of tactical dispositions, set plays, etc...

Because I drive up from the Coast and take the bus from Eight Mile Plains, and have my son with me, I never go out drinking, but yeah, Caxton St for food and drinks, choices galore.

I have a clever piece of trickery I use, bbok 3 different tickets and choose the best one

I know it seems simple but you'd be surprised how good the seats can be if you take on the Maroon option as opposed to Gold.

Last year I used to get tickets online, as it used to give ya up to ten options to choose from. Now it only gives you one option, or you have to start again.

Now I just go down to the ticketek counter at the local shopping centre, and you can ask for specific seats in a specific section.

Me I prefer the lower tier, as I feel too far away from the action anywhere else. Section 332 is my fav and I have awesome foursome member tickets in row 3. Ive already got front row tix in 331 for about 5 other games.

P.S The double header night is great.

It's the only round I leave my son at home with his grandma, take the missus and buy extra tickets for my mates and make a big night out of it.

Two games of NRL in one night is fantastic. Hopefully Titans can make the second game more of a contest this year, but not counting on it.

Question: With the round 10 double header being played on the 11th May, and the first SOO game being played on the 23rd May, does this mean that the Broncos team at the double header game will be severely depleted? I think it's something to think about if you're thinking of heading to the game.

I think that is pretty dumb. If you are a fan and interested in supporting your team you would show up regardless of who is playing.

I think he is telling the guy from WA, in case he is coming all the way over to see someone like Thaiday...

yeh I appreciate some of the players may be missing for SOO but as I am mainly coming to experience the stadium I am not too bothered! The fact I get to see two games on the one night makes up for missing players.

I was just throwing it out if anyone cared, and actually asking the question, because it's hard to tell if the players who will be playing SOO will in fact be out that week, so kind of looking for confirmation aswell.

I'll be going regardless, lol.

Yeah, that week will suck because Manly, although a very good team, will arguably only have 1-4 guys out due to Origin (Watmough, Stewart, Cherry, Stewart), whereas we could have as many as 7 out (Hodges, Thaiday, Hannant, Parker, Gillett, Civo, Wallace).

Yikes...
