That's just it, with 10-15 to go you knew we would lose you just had to watch it unfold.

We looked absolutely lost in attack. It looked like they had never trained together and just played together for the first time

I was saying to myself, if only we were Melbourne Storm. Haha we are far from it but you know if that was them the game would be over, they'd locked it up. Defend hard play for field position, complete sets and make metres. Not us, we are master at losing it.

That game was a fair dinkum game. Nothing much to complain about from either team as far as bad calls go. Th Eels had a fair share....likewise the Dragons. Analytically, the blue & golds didn't offer much in attack, quite obvious to those who watched the game. Their defence was markedly better but in real terms as a team are still cannon fodder for top of the table teams. Better times ahead........

for me I dont want Trapdoor Roberts to be picked at 6 next week

all things considered I would pick that young NSW CUP Seage...

if its not mathematical then its getting pretty close to it for the 12' season

But ah i wouldnt be suprised to see the diciest havles combo named on Tuesday

6. Roberts
7 Sandow

I think we are probably at the point now were we have nothing to lose. We are 3 wins away from second last. so forget this Top 8 fantasy.

I guess Roberts has his chance to impress for Wenty this week, but I would give Seage a run. Even Mullany is probably worth a try. Once again, what have we got to lose?

The first time all season the Eels looked like they were playing with pride in defending their line and with pride in the jersey. Also the only time this year that showed they might improve in the future. However have to feel for the players out there that worked their arses off all game (Hindy and Mannah especially) only to be let down by simple missed tackles. That's all the Morris and Stanley tries were from, they were both covered and our guys missed.

That said the only year that performance is reminiscent of is last year when we lost so many in similar circumstances, so still a lot of work to do. Nice to feel pride in my club again though.

I think the next time Sandow tries a shouler charge he should be hooked. Had Stanley covered if he just made the tackle, but went for the shoulder charge instead. Worst buy of the year for sure.

Sandow is going to do that time and time again isnt he, I know he is and what more can we say we have to help him out and we really did that tonight really worked for one another...

this mental barrier we have were our collective nerves go into over-drive with 10 to go we will eventually improve but we need a little something..something so obvious that is

it sounds so simple but in order to win, we have to be 6+ points ahead like the manly game back in round 4/5 just for that peace of mind, because otherwise its just not going to manifest because as a fan im a nervous wreck and to be a parra player out there you only have to imagine its a nightmare

but our attack is shit

we had that many tackles in their 20 and never looked like scoring. they don't even look like they have any idea what to do.

That try that Matt Ryan scored is the only time we have shown any kind of cohesion in the last month.... I guess one cohesive set of six a month is as good as we can expect at the moment.....

in the OPP 20 its been happening all year I started really focusing on it from the Knights game onwards

its shambolic but tonight Sandow to Ryan was a nice play-try..I know 4 points doesnt cover a season though..we all know its harder to score in opp 20 then it is longer range but yeah doesnt really warrant me throwing excuses

it is a weakness

No argument from me. I saw in that game what I think is about the best we can expect from the 2012 Eels.

All valid points, but it's hard when your 5/8 goes off injured.

That's part and parcel of footy, that's where you need to choose the right backup plan because you're going to get players injured and having to go off on a week to week basis. It's up to the coach to implement the right back-up plan when it does.

Depressing loss for us last night, we were in that one for ages.

As an Eels fan it bothers me that I just knew we weren't going to last 80 minutes.

what i saw in the game was that despite looking much more switched on defensively we still struggle to score tries. it is irksome considering we have some players with oodles of strike power and offloading ability.

at least we improved to being where we were at the back end of last year (leading for at least 3/4 of the game then getting beaten), which is sadly better than a lot of what we've dished out so far this year.
