I think a lot of this has to do with our best young players being poached during the dynasty years. I’m sure tonight the club would’ve loved to have rolled out the likes of Katoa, Iongi, R Smith, Hopgood, Salmon, Hosking etc.

This is the trouble. If we knew a bit earlier Luai was seeking more than we were prepared to pay him, Katoa stays.

It's a shame what's been done with Cole. He has shown some halfback qualities when he's had to fill in at the position.

I think Cole being chopped and changed constantly is hurting his development unless he is being specifically groomed to be a 'super sub'.

I believe he has a touch of the Tyrone May's...as in not good enough for any position in first grade.

Kenny & Leota need to be dropped and looks to be shopped around - there's not alot of leadership there and cup guys coming in have more impact then them

Huth, Riki need to be moved on as well - very uninspiring blokes that are not stepping when they get FG chances

Henry & Smith id still keep - more upside, just need to get their shit together and start dominating

Patea should be given a start this origin period - i think he can handle a start

Huth will be 33 before the season is out. He's done well to last that long as a middle forward. But he's coming to the end unless he wants to have a year in England. I thought Leota has a decent second spell in this game. Kenny looks out of sorts but has runs on the board.

Last night really confirmed for me that Henry is not a first grader. Pure aggression. If he had a brain cell, it would be lonely. I don’t think he makes the 17 at any other club yet we persist.

Newcastle made very easy metres up the middle. They had no issues getting out of trouble in yardage sets.

Others that should be told can explore their options or just let go Smith, Sommerton, Huth, Riki, Laurie, Tago and possibly even Leota.

To be fair to Tyrone, he was definitely a 1st grade #6 or even a Centre and a good one before his injury. He lost a lot of speed and explosiveness when he finally came back. Not even close to the same player.

Henry the dumb merkin suspended for 2 games. Works out well enough because he needed to be dropped anyways.

Playing on the edge where he isn't at all suited due to a major back rower emergency, I'd have given him a mulligan but its moot now.

He's at 7 for HKR now and they are whipping all comers. Ball playing sublime at times. It is SuperLeague though. He's a 14 in NRL and probably not at a strong club.

Bevan French - a fringe reserve grade Fullback/wing/five eighth at Parramatta was the best player in the ESL a year or two ago. Hard to gauge anything in that league.

I Feel for Daine Laurie. There IS a good player in there. At the moment his confidence looks shot, even when he ran out onto the field his body language was all nerves - didn't look confident or focused at all.

Worse still is that he sacrificed a 1st grade career to come back to us. He was one of the Tigers better players when he was there

Another one who's found his feet over there. Talented player, thought he would come back but maybe fears failing in the NRL again. There is no doubt a gulf in quality.

He didn’t sacrifice anything he was behind bula already.

We’ve been good to daine, picked him every time Dylan’s out since he came back. Picked him on the wing. Picked him on the bench. Given him a heap more chances then a back up fb usually gets. All year when he’s played he’s been bad. We desperately needed a 6 or 7 out 10 from him on the weekend and he serves up absolute garbage that first half, can’t wait to piss hi off to England.

Its the same as Brad, as far as back halves go he’s been given red carpet ride into this side since he got here and he’s shit, he hasn’t repaid faith, he hasn’t become a better half back with the experience
. Again we neeeded a 6 or 7 out 10 from him basically just make tackles and kick well. But he couldn’t even do that, the one thing he could do is tackle until saturday, f**king choker never delivers. He is a waste of space.
