If Ivan puts them on opposite sides of the field I’ll be pissed but I bet he will. Keen to see Hassett have a run. Sounds like he really stalled last year but has had a bit of a bounce back season. Ryley Smith also stalled for 18 months there and then took some huge steps and looks great at Parra. Not everyone develops consistently, Hassett may surprise us.

Absolutely, Laurie and Talagi are our game breakers tonight. I also think we really need Ivan to show his coaching chops. Basically none of the ingredients that make our play style so effective are there tonight. The back 3 metreage, the hard hitting forwards, the Yeo/Cleary metronome. We need to play a style that suits the 17 if we want to win.

You got to the let the jealousy go. Ivan’s been there and done it. In the past 6 years he has won four comps because he is the best manager of a squad. He is one of the best managers of culture I have ever seen; up there with the likes of Belichik, Jackson and Ferguson.
