When's the last time there was a round 26 clash to decide the minor premiership between two teams?
The MP take home a pretty substantial amount of cash don't they? It's not just some kind of honorary title.
I don't think resting players in rd26 is all that advantageous sometimes.
If anyone can remember melbourne did it in 2011and got pumped by the Roosters - physically and on the score board.
They barely got it over Newcastle a week later and then the Warriors went over them.
Yeah they made up for it in 2012 - but I personally think rd26 was where the wheels fell off for them in 2011.
Hate to burst your bubble there mate but Easts are the only team that has played for 105years, still Souths should be proud of their 103 years...Biggest regular season game in history.
The only remaining foundation clubs, both 105 years old. Winner gets the minor premiership. Amazing how the stars have aligned.
Hopefully if everything goes the way I hope it goes, as well as this being a minor premiership playoff it will also be a grand final preview.
I didn't say Souths have played 1st grade for 105 years or played 105 seasons. I said they are a foundation club that is 105 years old. Very different and 100% true.Hate to burst your bubble there mate but Easts are the only team that has played for 105years, still Souths should be proud of their 103 years...

Easts and Souths are the two most penalised teams in the comp. You saying we get marched upfield is just as accurate as me saying Easts have had refs in their pocket all year.Stars aligned = easy marches upfield from 'convenient' soft penalties
Wrong again; Norths, Newtown and Newcastle all foundation clubs and still going strong.. you said "The only remaining foundation clubs, both 105 years old"I didn't say Souths have played 1st grade for 105 years or played 105 seasons. Besides Easts none of those others are still independent clubs in 1st grade. This is the NRL board and this thread is about the NRL minor premiership. So bringing up clubs that don't exist in the NRL is a ridiculous point.Wrong again; Norths, Newtown and Newcastle all foundation clubs and still going strong..

"The only remaining foundation clubs, both 105 years old", I'm replying to your original post..You keep moving the goal posts..Besides Easts none of those others are still independent clubs in 1st grade. This is the NRL board and this thread is about the NRL minor premiership. So bringing up clubs that don't exist in the NRL is a ridiculous point.
What I said still stands. There are two standalone foundation clubs in the NRL and they will play for the minor premiership next week. That is an amazing alignment of the stars and great for the game.
