Awesome. Can't wait to see him do his thing. We should of brought Vidot in though, not Purtell. F*ck the fact we'd be too inexperienced....we need to win.

G'day fellas, i was just wondering if any of you blokes in the raiders army had previously made the sign
THATS THE WEYMAN
came up with the idea a few weeks ago but didn't want to copy a banner someone had already put a heap of time into.
By the way all the best to Josh for this week, saw him play a few times in U/20s last yr and I'm becomig quite the fan.
cheers boys, coppo

Purtell scored two tries for Souths Logan last week..Daniel Joyce was named Man of Match..AND interestingly....Kose Lelai scored a try in Souths Logan reserve grade win.
Kose is a good player, and is back after being banished by the Raiders for off field indiscretions in 2008. He had a good season with Griffith Waratah Tigers in Group 20, as well as gaining selection in the CRL representative team. The boy has talent.
Joel Thommo played with SLM last week, and is back up there this week, as well as Shaun Fensom. Nick Skinner was injured in first game ...think he could be back either this week or the next for SLM.
Watch for D.Joyce to be promoted to the NRL, sooner rather than later if his form continue....

Although Purtell scored the 2 tries I dont think he deserved selection in FG on that game. The palyer that impressed me from the SL game was Fensom , he looks ready for FG, cant say I took much notice of Joyce or he didnt stand out to me , I dont think he will get a run in FG , we have players coming back from injury and he does seem similar build and style to Miller. Anyway im not an expert and I have only seen 1 SL game.

Feel so sorry for young Dugan , hope he recovers ASAP. Looked very impressive in the Toyota Cup GF last year

Sick joke by legend that Dugan broke his leg.....

Honestly; rollerblading?????

I would have come up with bear attack or something more believeable

I'm getting the feeling we are this close to properly kicking off our 2009 season very soon.

By all accounts David Furner didn't flog our boys into the ground over the offseason. Now the miles are in the legs from the first few rounds we will start to see some real improvement in our endurance...I think we could reap the benefits in the middle of the year when most other teams are going a bit flat.

This is my hope anyway. :)

We need guys like Plum, Harrison and Picker to keep Thurston out of the game. If they can do the job around the rucks in defence and run like buggery at him we should go OK. A solid kick chase will also be crucial.

There will be errors in the Cowboys - just like the Tigers, we just need to make the most of them.

This is a key game in the season imo. We need the momentum from winning this game to take into the two game roadie coming up. I'm amped for the game on Monday night. Get 'em boys!

I know it's exciting watching our young guys step up but I don't see how dugan is going to do any better than Milne in his first game. Furner should have put him on the wing, kept milne at fullback and swapped them over for periods during the game.

I read somewhere that Milne wasnt dropped for poor form , but Dugan was brought in because of his good form, so therefore Dugans form was better than Milne's.

Anyway I'll be cheering for the 17 that play , the Telegraph says that Waddell will be in the 17 , so Id imagine Turner to be dropped.
