The lineup of both teams was quite different than last year. Ours was better, theirs was worse. Yet they did us over in a more convincing manner than last year. No sugar coating what happened last night.
There players did their job and their spine ran the show esp. Grant.

Our players thought they were harlem globe trotters and the spine did eff all.

From the BA days, there's Jnr, Penis, Moses, Hopgood.
Jnr and Hopgood reverted back to BA days

How many times have we been guilty of that over the years? The Jekyll & Hyde Eels are still part of our DNA.

Bigger forwards thrive in attack. Not so much in defence. Luckily for the Storm they had all the ball. The Roosters' big pack is struggling in the same way right now.
We'll be facing a monster Donkeys pack next week. Here's tonight's teams for comparison:

The 18th man would not have been activated. It was not placed on report.
What if the HIA was positive? You're kidding me that being on report is the contingency of the actual rule about activiting the 18th player?
Based on that, you are willing to risk an edge of Doorey, Kk and Kelly, for 50 or so mins as there was no guarantee Iongi wouId return.
For 7 mins, and given the impact on the remaining minutes of the game in only having one forward bench rotation - yes.
Ryles made the low risk decision. That edge v losing Sam...
No, he took the higher risk option in the moment - maybe lower risk for the 7 mins, but higher risk for the 40+mins remaining in the game.

Just because the players decide to do their own thing, doesn’t mean there’s no plan. Every game plan includes the option of playing eyes up footy at times. But when to do it and when to stick to the plan is a judgement call for whoever’s got the ball at the time.
And the coach, and the trainers who run his messages to the on field leadership.
Obviously fatigue clouds everybody’s judgement.
*cough* Bullshit *cough*

That giant Broncos pack struggled with no possession tonight. Hopefully we can complete our sets.
