Swaps TDS and Smith 30 seconds before the bunker forced Iongi off the field.

The late HIA call on Iongi when TDS was already out there meant no choice but to use Joash, or put Smith straight back out there as 6, Pezet to 7 and Moses to 1. Would have given us the chance to use Sam.

Pezet looks to much like an old school halfback. His strong point is his kicking game but we have Mitch doing 90%. He is a slug running the ball.
But the biggest concern fot me isnt Pezet but it's Ryles and staff wanted to sign him for 4yrs. I dont get how they felt it's a good combo? I questioned it from start.
Id give him untill rnd 6. If he hasn't improved then promote one of the young kids.
Twiddle,Joash,Lorenzo. I dont care who. I prefer Joash at 14 over TDS who looks like a lemon at this stage.

Stefano looked like Payne Haas last night. He terrorised us with hard and fast running.

His 2nd half wasnt the issue it was his first.
He needs to be able to take control and have a feel for the game. At 10-4 He needed to get the side to go back to basics and kick chase with forward runs. Very simple. Instead we kept trying to score off every single play. There will be games it clicks and people go WOW but against the big boys it doesnt work.
We know he can play and is flashy but part of the game is control and knowing when to push things.

100% i think that was my main point last night we didn't run hard and tackle hard.
Tried to offload every tackle..

It looked like a trial match for us with no game plan completely different to our 2 trial games where we had more of a plan..

Never been a fan of the 6 again rule. Instead of penalising the teams that slow the play down, they introduce a rule that seems to penalise the weaker sides as the better sides get the rub of the green who were the original perpetrators of slowing the game down with their tactics. The better sides are able to speed the game up when they have the ball and slow it down defending and get away with it. Look when the good sides get multiple players in a tackle, peel off slowly while a tackler watches to see if their defensive line is set before they get off.

Also watch when one of the favoured sides are going nowhere with their set, a 6 again call suddenly appears out of nowhere to give them another go.

He isn't a lock. You want your lock these days to be tidying up the defence around the ruck not flopping in as 3rd man every tackle and getting those stats up as well...
