Giving NRL positions to 2 players that are flying in the face of everything Ryles is trying to build culture wise at the club just voids any progress on that front. Ryles is instilling club first culture - those 2 don’t buy into it. Rewarding that now tells all the juniors that Ryles ethos and vision is secondary to trying to chase a quick fix,
Hows that going? We are running dead last but at least we have good Kulcha. Carty played with busted ribs last year while after one good game Guymer was looking for an upgrade/release.

100%. I get the tactics from Ryles using fast backrowers and not having slow props but you need blokes to punch the holes and get a good 10m or more from each hit up. How many times did Moses kick before 20m? It looked embarrassing.

I'm still confused as to what Williams has been brought to the side as, a backrower, light prop??. I dont think he played prop once at Cronulla.

Guymer and Katugoa dont offer much. Heck even Samrani was making much better ground.

I hope Moses isnt picked for Origin so he get more match fitness with Parra and not risk another injury in Origin, but all reports are saying him and Lomax are certainty to play, unless Moses has an absolute shocker against Newcastle and Luai has a blinder the next two games. To me I wouldnt risk blokes coming back from injury and rush them into Origin.

Lomax's goal kicking wouldve been handy last night. Im surprised Russell kicked that long range one but sprayed the other two.

No guarantee that Lomax gets picked. With him and To'o both coming back from injury so close to Origin selection occurring, there are some who think NSW will not look to carry two wingers who's match fitness may be under done. Some media pundits have pointed this out in the SMH over the last week or so.

Culture isn’t changed in an offseason. It’s gradual. Our club has had a shit culture for near 2 decades and you expected a rookie coach to fix in an off season?

BA couldn’t fix it in 11 years, and least Ryles is trying and actually starting to get somewhere.

Carty is flat out making the nsw cup team. Played one good game for them all year.

whatever happened last year or previous is irrelevant to Ryles tenure.

Yet he is still better then Guymer. Looks like Ryles finally realised that Guymer has been a fail when he hooked him for Samrani.

Agree. If Lomax had been playing consistently on the wing for his club and smashing it there, he'd be an automatic pick in his wing sport for Origin upon returning from injury. While happy enough with his club form among our terrible squad, I think the centre experiment will have cost him his Origin wing place under these circumstances.

No argument that the forwards are shit, but you’re looking through rose coloured glasses to say that Iongi has been anything other than average all season. I’m still yet to see why some folks here are blowing smoke up his arse so much. He’s well and truly a bottom 3 fullback in the comp at the moment, and I think that was always going to be the case this year. The hope has to be that he comes good, and I truly hope he does, but he’s miles away at the moment.
Wow you are seriously watching a different game. He is virtually our only back who poses any threat. Mate Gutho dropped plenty of kicks and failed to clean up kicks in goal on several occasions. Iongi is a gun but you have made up your mind so refuse to see beyond that.

Iongi is doing well as a rookie but to suggest he is a gun would indicate he is in the top echelon of fullbacks. Right now he isn’t anywhere near that.
