Well done. As an outsider looking in, I'd say that was the best performance this year by the eels.

Kautoga and Hawkins had blinding games and seeing Papalii score on debut was great, the Penisini HIA was a blessing in disguise.

Great to see this 17 (no Moses and Lomax) play so well after they started the year.

Rylesy's coaching is starting to shine through. .

Well done again.

I’m particularly impressed with our defence tonight. A couple of lapses out on our right edge early in the game but they found a way to fix that deficiency.

Was expecting us to let in a soft late try at the end but they never game up even though the win was secured.

Next two weeks will be difficult up against Panthers and Dogs but I’m hoping we can at least keep improving our defence even if we don’t come away with the wins in those games. I’m hoping those massive lasses we copped early in the year are long gone from our season now.

Jakob Arthur is such a f**king dreadful half lol

I wouldn’t say dreadful.
I thought most of his kicks were pretty good tonight. They went long and had us coming from deep in our half a lot of the time.

Unfortunately he didn’t offer much else. Tried to take the line on a few times but was easily handled. Didn’t really create anything in attack. But he’s a backup player so that’s what you’d expect.

Brooks is the one to take the blame in this one. Him and Turbo.

Dude, Jake sucks. He offers nothing in attack, he can kick deep but it’s always straight to one of the back three, and he never threatens the line. By all accounts he’s a lovely young man, and that’s great - but he is not, and will never be, a first grader’s arsehole. If you want to compare backup halves, Hawkins gave him an absolute bath tonight, and Jake came in with the easier job.

A good test of Commbank's drainage... any slip and slide conditions might help narrow the gap in class.

I think we might see a bit of Dylan Walker class out there tonight, and am going to plump for the upset...

f**k yeah! Even undersold us by 16 points...

Go Parra, great win - nice for the squad's confidence to do it without Momax, and rack up consecutive wins, and great for Papalli to get surprise decent minutes.

Pretty rough night for Jake Arthur, steering the team to a loss against the underdogs.
