Highly enough to give him a shot as the back up anyway. Once theyve played cup and done well in more than one game i have no qualms about giving them a first grade crack if the opportunity is there. Edgars a bit small but he has been very good in cup when he has played up.

Makes sense. We can't trust Laurie's form anyway so the result isn't even a step back as far as backups go.

They all will for the rest of the rep season. We've lost the right to rest players. A luxury we can't afford.

Next job is prayer. It will be a minor miracle if we get through relatively unscathed with no major injuries.

Resting isn't a luxury it's so those players don't get injured and are available for the rest of the season.

"You know how it wouldnt be fair if your brother got 4 choclates and you only got one?"

Didn't know you were a socialist.

Resting isn't a luxury it's so those players don't get injured and are available for the rest of the season.

It's a common sense approach. And it's made far easier when your team are flying in the top 4 like we usually are.

Circumstances have changed. Coaches have a choice and when they need to win they play them.

Rest all our Origin players. The year is done and guys like Yeo are f**king cooked

Less cynicism more swagger needed. You've lost that feeling.

Ask Yeo and Cleary if the year is over. They'll be playing on Sunday unless they are actually injured.

We're talking about a game or two here during origin, prior to this year i wouldve said yeah Edgars a year off at least, but hes played 5 cup games this year and played well. I get the physical side and him being small but he wouldnt be the smallest player running around the nrl. Stains was probably smaller when he debuted for us.

Holy shit we have superstars coming through

Sorry wasn't last year. 2 years ago. Edgar and Casey was in Matts

J.McLean
Billy Scott
Luton
Hassett played NSW u19's.

Lamont the 7 for QLD.

Armstrong played last year.

Talagi and Alamoti are Flegg aged.

We have a very young Cup team and when are 5th but that is brought down by games like on the weekend when weakened.

We probably only have 13 NRL standard guys. Rest are like Casey or guys with no future here like Riki and the guys mentioned.

Getting the kids in. Atleast is working towards better depth next year

He is no worse than Jenkins was or Laurie is.

Ive said this before re Edgar and Attard, we arent going to have the luxury of parking both of them in the lower grades for two years before we have to make a call on which one to TRY and keep because we might not be able to convince either one to wait around, which means we might need to test them both a little early to see what we have.

Now that we are coming last i think we will be susceptible to losing even more juniors if we arent giving them a crack. No ones waiting around until they are 22/23 to get a crack in a side that is missing the finals.

Teams are upping the ante now when playing Penrith, everyone lifts against us. Some people on here are turning on guys like Casey and Blaize not being up for first grade, both are Flegg age also.
