i don't think a loss to the Titans will do us any harm in the long term, as it would better expose that there are still significant issues in the squad.

We're going to finish somewhere in the Bottom 6 anyway, does it really matter if that is 12th, 14th or 16th??

I think we all want to avoid the spoon

loss to the titans heads in that direction...

we have the titans then the dragons the following week

I expect nothing less then back to back wins
I wouldn’t say expectations but it should definitely be our goal.
The past couple of weeks have been ok if ultimately unsuccessful, throwing away any sort of learning we had from these games and devolving to the early season shitness when those two games are bookended with byes is going to way more disappointing than losing tonight. Our next 2 games need to be where we start to build experience in extra intensity in consecutive weeks

The desperate scrambling defense in the face of our constant turnovers coming out of our 30 was inspiring and gives hope for the future.

Since the season opening floggings we've been on a steady improvement incline so much so we even had hopes of beating the dogs at their home today in front of 60 thousand today.

I'm super impressed by Ryles and his staff so far. Matterson for Joash was his only blemish today.

For all the doom posts, thinking we are years away...consider this...Cc has been at the dogs for 3 years....Ryles just 13 games...he just lost to the top side 30 to 12...

In Cc first year, he lost to the 2 top sides Brisbane/Panthers in round 20/21, 44 to 24 and 44 to 18.....

aren't all bad...

We have the bye next week

Then the mid season showdown we all have in our wall calenders

22/6/2025: Eels v Titans Sunday night football 615pm

My mouth is watering

One massive dilemma, titans v manly next week. I cant want Manly to win

If by some miracle we are to make the eight, we will need our fellow cellar dwellers to win games like this.

Moses has to get through Origin yet. His track record is poor.

This is exactly why I didn't want him playing Origin this year yet his whole focus the past 2 weeks has been keeping himself fit for game 2.

He has played in a dinner suit for 2 weeks.

Mitch deserves more criticism then anyone his kicks are shit, lacks a torpedo and doesn't change momentum when on the back foot with a kick on the 3rd or 4th to turn the opposition around and turn the momentum of a contest.

When was the last time he tried a 40/20

He might as well depart the club if we are going to give him the sort of go forward we have had. It is a fair criticism of him that he does not play great behind a smashed pack.
Forwards are an issue

But he has been poor. Kept us competitive but hasn't been the game changer we need on that money.

Dolphins game was there on a platter up 12-6 and what happened.

Got tackled on last tackle on 2 straight sets attacking try line. Which left limp ending to sets.

Momentum changed Fins scored 2 tries and game was lost.

Today his kicking game was Luke Brooks standard.

His high loopy kicks on the full to the FB are pointless. Find the grass for ffs.

He either needs a torpedo within the 40m arcs to put the FB under pressure or find a new kick that at least allows the defensive line to get set properly and win the territory battle.
