I think that's a good point, too, for those watching on Fox.

The referees have gone back to something like last year and we're immediately effective. Goes to show some posters weren't just talking out their arses when they said the interpretations had severely hurt us this year

Such a shame our best play maker is wasted in the centres.
We look pretty clueless attacking their line, as we do every week.
Yet Hayne is confined to taking a few hit ups in the first half.
Also, lol at everyone hitting on French. Sure he made a poor decision for Souths last try. I actually thought he was coming up to fill a hole in the defence. It was a good read from the Rabbits to see the space and kick early. French was everyone's favorite once upon a time. 31 tries in 42 first grade games is a pretty decent strike rate.
Souths kicking game is so superior to ours it ain't funny. There's a massive difference just there.

I just can’t understand what French was thinking on that 3rd try. Can’t see any logical reason for him to run in like that.
It was an unforgivable brain explosion .... i have always given him the benefit of the doubt but he has lost me ... drop him

Agree on French. I thought he actually anticipated the kick. Maybe made the wrong call trying to rush up and stop it, but I'd be less happy with the other blokes who watched it happen.

Especially the winger who was standing at marker instead of in position and didn't even think to try and pressure the kick that happened 5m away from where he was.

I think French has been pretty solid fielding kicks at the back the last couple of weeks but he completely rooted up that read, to be brutal it wasn’t first grade standard

He didn’t need to though.
Gennings was a few steps away from Walker at marker and a simple “slide right” and it’s covered in numbers.
Not you as the fullback sprinting 15m to get there and opening up space behind when both right wing and centre just made the tackle.

Need more then a try rate to have a successful first grade career

French was right ti rush the kick. It’s just a shame that Souths adapted so quick.

Agree on kicking game.

He is the f**king fullback ... ie at the back ... the others are up in the line moving forward, none stood and watched ...... french had a total shocker and cost a try
