Long term benefits. The NRL doesn't really have a loan system for youngsters to experience the pressure of first team footy at another club (or it exists but clubs don't want to blood another club's rookies), so they need to play in the first team.

Have you noticed that off set plays we bring on Fox and Zac and Penisini and Russell shift to the wing ? That lasts for two tackles and on 2 occasions Penisini has ended up with the ball when it should have been the winger.

Not saying you are wrong about Penisini BTW, but use your wingers FFS.

The winger passed him the ball. Lomax comes in to take the hit ups because it's one of his strengths. If the opposing winger is going to come in on him, he should be passing to the unmarked man. Penisini has run for 130m in half a game.
