Well he was good enough for Moses and a bunch of other signings/retentions.What players think of your coach impacts your recruitment efforts.
Of course he's involved. The list management group will want his opinion on who to sign and keep. But the coach doesn't do negotiations or manage the cap. Ultimately, he gets what he's given. If he keeps saying "Not good enough" to every suggestion, he will find himself without a squad.I agree and he would have involvement in player recruitment.
IsWhat was the outcome of this bunker enquiry ? It was awarded a try on ground. We all thought that it looked really dodgy. Legs out before ball plant.

Kind of.... Our recruitment dude Ben Rogers drove up the M1 to meet him and pleaded with "Leo" to come and join us... Unfortunately Ben didn't realise he was talking to Leo's identical twin brother Tyrone.... The talks went nowhere....Leo Thompson has gone to the Dogs for next year. Did we even show interest?
Need better video to review I think badger only looked at his right foot not the left..
Also what about the no try where Sam was tackled without the ball... Knockon though .
Then where Smith instead of the held up is called a knockon...a hand was always on the ball no regrip.
If theyre consistent with counting knock ons off the shoulder, fine.
As for the Smith one, I thought one of his hands always had a grip on it
It's not that it came off his shoulder he is tackled without the ball. That's a penalty.
I think he's fine now, but what are they going to think of him if we're Wooden Spooners for two seasons?Well he was good enough for Moses and a bunch of other signings/retentions.
I suspect no one in the so-called List Management Group would've considered letting go of both Gutho and RCG a year early if the coach didn't tell them to.Of course he's involved. Boys clubs are awesome. It's how shit gets done. Penrith's coach is related to their captain ffs. Everyone else is related to Greg Alexander. At the Storm, Bellamy said he wants his son to take over his job. If anything, our club is the opposite of a boys club. If it was, we would probably have cashed up benefactors selling cheap real estate to our players.
Before the season started everyone was saying we had enough middles.
Yesterday was a joke as far as Badger in the bunker, I think there were 6 or 7 decisions made and we got none. The lost ball by Smith should have been a penalty as the tackler hit him in the head. Earlier the same thing happened to Korasou in the middle of the field, penalty Tigers. We were dreadful but the bunker decisions did not help. It's not that it came off his shoulder he is tackled without the ball. That's a penalty.
Rcg at least runs straight and hard and knows what is needed and when. Rcg led us to the 2022 gf.I agree we needed to replace Gutho with another player that can lead.
I think the club was trying to do right by him. As he would have been playing 14 this year with the whole squad fit and that would have decreased his price for his next contract.
I would assume if they knew Moses was going to go down for the first 8 weeks and Brown piss off to the knights they would have kept Gutho as a 5/8 while they brought someone else through..
RCG isn't a big loss in terms of meters or tackles but he does bring leadership in running hard and tackling hard hoping the other players all follow.
Yep, and then Ben pulled over to the side of the road and started playing with his own feces like it was play dough.Kind of....
