We aren't consistently shit. We show pockets of quality football in a lot of games. In yesterday's game we were shit, good and then shit again.

Thats what I thought but I kind of think Canberra where good then clocked off. Ricky sprayed them at halftime and realy in the 2nd half it was a shut out. Did we even make it beyond halfway?
Once sides turn on the gas we fold. We can compete when good sides are playing poor but not once they are in their groove.

For us to win against average sides we need to give 100% and play close to our best. When we become a good side we will be able to play poorly and still win.And your never a premiership chance untill hit that level. We have a very very long way to go

Dude, they are 1st with only 3 losses and they have played most of the top 8 teams already.
They are better than probably 16 other teams
Are you suggesting that they are more consistent or just consistently good?

Is it possible to play poorly and win?

Is it possible to play well and lose?

Do things like refereeing decisions and luck influence the outcome of games?

Is every squad at the same level?

Could an inferior squad be consistently at their best as often as a better squad but still be behind them on the ladder?

We don't even seem to be looking to poach young guns coming through either...

Raiders 3 in Flegg yesterday looks good can defend and hit a hole. We should be recruiting Flegg players to come play cup and replace the likes of Tago and Dunster.

We have resigned a lot of duds this year that are just taking up a top 30 or development spot.

This is what we need to do. Some won't work out but some will.
Much better then signing NSW cup players other sides have passed on or old journeymen and thi king you can polish them. Yes less risk but the reward is usually a plodder who can fill a gap.
Let's go pinch some hot talent. Yes its risky. But it is where we are at and its our time to poach. Look how the Dolphins did it. The dogs are doing it. Heck even Penrith raided us for Blaize and took risks on Alamoti and Jenkins while we f**kced about and got Harper and Samrani. Fix the recruiting.

Nope. We have been consistently shit this year. Now answer my questions. You keep avoiding. Are there any teams this season consistently good? Or consistently shit? Or is every team inconsistent?
There is no team this year that has been good or shit on every occassion. Thats what 'consistently' means.

Every team is inconsistent. The good and shit ones are more consistent at being good or shit, but no team 'consistently' performs a certain way in every game.

I wasn't avoiding questions, I was trying to see whether you understood the meaning of the word you were using.

The Warriors have some awesome kids coming thru and it is probably where we should start to look first. Dogs are stockpiling and probably will have a few that cant keep.

Storm snapped up another promising half and now have 4 decent ones coming thru.

So describing us as ‘inconsistent’ is basically meaningless when every team is ‘inconsistent’.

Raiders went crazy buying junior talent..

Sanders
Stewart
Strange
Tamale

Just to name a couple

Chevy Stewart probably will get moved on as Fullback is stocked at the Raiders.

It's a great strategy which we haven't seen to have actioned.

Kind of. Its pretty a pretty meaningless descriptor on its own.
You said there are ‘degrees of consistency’. If consistently good is at one end , consistently shit at the other and inconsistent in the middle, I still maintain we are at the consistently shit end.

Yep they've been stock piling good kids for the last 3yrs and now we are seeing the fruits. Ricky's a good coach and I hope they win the comp this year. Obviously io ly if enrith dont do the 5th or 6th peet or whatever they are on now.

We are more often shit than we are good. But that's not the same as saying we are 'consistently' shit because that means that we are only ever shit.

Getting into semantics probably. I agree with you that we are not going well overall.

Yep, but Klein needed to police both sides the same. That’s what often is the issue. 8-0 penalty count and 6 agains and Klein always seems to be influenced by one teams table position and the crowd.
8-0? I thought it was 5-1.

Here is Klein's recent refereeing (from Rugby League Project). Doesn't really point him always favouring the team higher on the ladder...or the crowd.

Rnd 20 - Raiders v DogsRaiders 5-1Yes
Rnd 17 - Storm v SharksSharks 5-4No
Rnd 16 - Roosters v CowboysCowboys 4-2No
Rnd 14 - Broncos v TitansTitans 6-5No
Rnd 13 - Roosters v RaidersRoosters 4-1No
Rnd 11 - Roosters v Dogs4-4No
Rnd 9 - Penrith v BrisbanePenrith 4-3No

That chart proves no real consistency at all
