They just bought a new side and raided everyone's best juniors. It's bullying basically. Nobody can compete with Laundys TPAs. Hardly a Cinderella story at all
Yep, it just comes down to Gould and his contacts and influence. He definitively is the RL equivalent of that manipulative guy from Game of Thrones (the ugly pedo one whose dick was cut off not the other one).

That is impossible as it is hard to ref the game well as with any football code except for soccer.
The only thing they can do is try to fix the tv coverage and commentating as these fixate on each decision the ref makes so as to maximise controversy.

Maybe but when you have touch judges missing forward passes offside players and 40/20s that aren't you know there is areas that can be easily fixed..

Then you have refs calling penalties for a strip when there is only 1 in the tackle or players being tackled in the air...

20 teams 4 pools.

Games Breakdown:Intra-Pool (Division): Play each team in your pool twice (home and away): 4 opponents × 2 = 8 games.

Intra-Conference (Other Pool): Play each team in the other pool of your conference once: 5 opponents × 1 = 5 games.

Inter-Conference: Play each team in the other conference once: 10 opponents × 1 = 10 games.
Total: 8 intra-pool + 5 intra-conference + 10 inter-conference = 23 games.
How do you select conferences?

That’s the problem right there. Conference 1 would be a piece of piss for the Broncos and they already have too much advantage.

Yeah but extra team adds more games.

Ps I hate the idea of a conference system. I love the rivalries with teams from every corner.
I think the rivalries in rugby league are totally soft compared to sports like American foody, sloccer and ML baseball. So, if conferences could help that then I am a big fan of the idea.

Imo they should do the draw like the world cup so you can't rig it. You'd have to be naive to think Dogs didn't have a draw designed for them. Or Brisbane gets an away game every year for magic round. Extra home game.....

Yeah I agree that's why they need to be updated based on competitiveness
Ah ok thst makes sense. But are you thrn going to get a good quality conference, 2 mediocre and 1 unwatchable? That would be my fear.

Say what you like about the NRL but outside of Origin, jeez it’s a good game to watch and most weeks you get a few ripper games at the least.

There is always going to be ordinary games you are never going to stop that.. Injuries happen teams not recruiting or developing well...

The only issue with any draw is when games are scheduled..

Conference are selected based on previous years ladder position (sorted by net F/A) and odds and evens - 1st, 3rd, 5th etc and 2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.

Play own conference twice and other conference once for 25 games (if 18 teams). Top 4 from each play off to determine conference winner and then the 2 winners play off for Premiership title.
I'd have set divisions like NFL once it is 20 teams.

Everyone plays each team once (19 games), then you play everyone in your own division of 5 again (4 games). 23 rounds in total.

4 Divisions would be Qld (all 5 Qld teams), Western Sydney (Parra, Dogs, Tigpies, Panthers, Perth), Coastal Sydney (Roosters, Souths, Sharks, Dragons, Manly), Non Sydney (Melbourne, Warriors, Canberra, Newcastle, PNG)

Normal Ladder for Top 8, Top 6 get a week off, Teams 7-10 first week, Wild Card weekend.

I've obviously assumed 20th will be Qld team, but Qld Division could have PNG if 20th was NZ and second NZ to Warriors division.
