Here is how this idea could have looked over the last couple of seasons:

Great work, mate.

I reckon the NRL would want a conference system to maximise TV ratings so derbys are critical. I think this is the #1 reason why we always get a tough draw. It's because we have high TV ratings and our derbys rate well compared to other clubs.

So we'll always get to play the Scum and Panthers twice, as well as Manly, Bulldogs and Tigers. There's no way that draw is being randomly produced every year, it's calculated to get the most out of TV rights.

That's also why refereeing modes change per situation, eg. State of Origin is reffed with no 10 metre kept, ruck is a shambles to advantage QLD. Same goes for the finals which are reffed to a different standard to regular comp. There won't be any penalties for not playing the ball properly in the grand final.

It's not about the talent it's about the coaching resources at the clubs and not just coaches all the staff at a club.

Titans have a pretty good side but are a basket case and are running dead last.
Hasler is a dual premiership winner.
Tigers well let's not bring them up...
Didn't even make the finals under Cleary or Maguire, who both won premierships at better clubs.

Small sample size, only two years of a long coaching career... so going by #poulogic those two years are outliers and can be ignored.

Their years spent with the Tigers are a small sample size within their careers, and within the life of the club... so going by #poulogic those years are outliers and can be ignored.
