I'm not defending the coaching, I'm just not blaming them. Do you think another coaching staff would make our players any quicker?

There's not much they can do about the makeup of the team after the season has started. In fact, with most of the top 17 contracted for 2022 we won't be able to fix it until 2023. Like how the ruck interpretation changed in 2002 and we missed the finals for two years until we could rebuild with bigger forwards.

Except they re-signed Sivo mid year so when did teams work it out? And he has Dunster and Russel available who have speed to burn. Plus Oldfield is only getting his first game. If needed speed he had plenty there. Plenty of ways to get speed in the side. As I mentioned plenty.
Gutherson to 5/8 and Brown to centre with Penisini. W.Smith to fullback and Waqa Blake on wing.
The bushman will name the same side next week is my guess bad Fergos return. Garbage

But some posters are 100% only on the coach being the issue and that isnt true.

im sorry but the players keep change and the defensive philosophy stays the same.

They play compressed and then they come up and in. This isnt players out of position or unable to tackle. This is a systematic failure on the defensive structures that are being implemented by the coaching staff.

I think it's acknowledged that BA has surrounded himself with a couple of Yes men as his assistant's. Blokes that no other clubs are interested in. I think BA is a good man manager but his and his assistant's tactics are completely inept when the squeeze is put on us.

That’s bullshit. Every poster here (whether for or against BA)has been bagging players like Blake, Opacic, Sivo and Brown.
