Gee they have completely turned around from missing the finals for seven straight years? So if they make the finals this year it will be two years in a row! What a massive achievement. Did you know we did a similar thing under our current management? Before they took over we made the finals once in nine years, plus picked up three wooden spoons.
The thing is they are ladder leading and genuine threats...even when we made the GF and throughout those yrs when we made the finals I don't think we were ever honestly genuine threats and merely making up the numbers...
We have been March premiers before, just like the Dogs. In 2020 we led the comp until August.
And we know how that ended....straight sets...again not genuine contenders but from memory that was Michael Jennings fiasco on the day of the game being outed

We also lost Sivo and Ferguson mid-game the previous week against Melbourne. You can't help bad luck.

What is he doing better now? His stats were better at Parramatta. Maybe he is doing stuff that isn't reflected in the stats, but you need to support it with some other evidence.
Or maybe we were in a premiership window and didn't have time to wait for them to reach their peak. It's easy in hindsight to say we didn't win and therefore we should have f**ked off our senior players, kept the youngsters and just waited, but there's no guarantee we would be a 'genuine' premiership threat now. Melbourne would still have a much better squad than ours, and so would other huge clubs like Easts and Brisbane.

I thought we replaced Reed with the cripple Hodgson and then replaced him with Lussick, Hands and now Smith.
