It is entirely an effort thing. Chasing in a line requires effort form multiple players.

No it isn't FFS.

If Alvaro, Mannah, and Kenny charge off downfield and Evans, Terepo and Williams (random examples) are simply too f**ked to match them, that's not effort.

Id fix the problem in a few mins.
Like I said before tough decision needed to be made.

Manu is now a bench player while Scotts done.

Mannah played out of his skin tonight and needs to produce that every week.

For now BA needs a simple game plan and it starts with a good kick chase and discipline. Forget scoring just work on line drop outs and repeat sets.
Once they tire out the opposition points will come. Unsure why we keep going side ways.
2nd is offloads. Kenny created some danger with them. This teams needs to forget structure and when within the 20 just hot potato time.
Forget scoring?? Tick that one off, we've got that one covered!!

If merkins aren't fit enough to give effort on effort (and our blokes do not seem fit) then they shouldn't be out there.

Foran, who was let go because his mental issues thankfully coincided with our cap issues?

Watmough and Hayne who are past their best?

You need a better definition of class....or star, whatever I said.

Watmough was on huge coin, star like money in fact. Hayne, who the f**k knows. The point is they were both big name signings for BA. You seem to be making up excuses for BA, but it’s obvouisly clear he’s all out of them.

I'll ask this question to every one on here.

Who hand on heart, given the way we've played the last five weeks and our record in Canberra, thought we would play much differently tonight than what we did?

The only unexpected thing for me was how awesome Gutherson went coming back from his ACL.

I thought we would show some improvement with ball in hand. Maybe even a slight improvement in our discipline.

So if we take out the first 25 mins in the first round against Penrith and the last 15 mins against the Tigers, how many tries have we scored this season?

We defended well for the most part, but our attack let us down again. Not sure how different we could have been , it was pelting buckets at stages (raining). Raiders weren't setting the world on fire either

I thought Canberra may have been flat after their big effort last week, but they were brutal in defence

We seemed to rely on the kick a bit to score a try (is that different enough?). Failed miserably

Is it bad luck that opposition teams save their brutal defence against the Eels or could it be that our offense is repetitive and teams know our style and present their defence accordingly?
