With ya on this but Kelly 3rd choice of the 3.
Tits are playing so much better with boyd at 7 than sexton
I feel like Holbrook has done a great job with Boyd. 2 years ago there's no way anyone would have anticipated Tanah Boyd as a first choice #7 but from a salary cap balancing perspective, it probably makes a lot of sense to get huge bang for buck out of Boyd

Unlucky...what a great chase from Khan Pereira.
Hope the Tits don't go all saggy in the 2nd half

Did you think Penrith went away from their strengths in the second half? Or do you think they started not playing to their strengths?
It was a hypothetical comment, just adding another factor that can change between first half of games and second half of games.

I don't think that black and white question leads to an accurate analysis of anything to be honest.

What's gone wrong with the cowboys this year. They have a pretty soft draw again and are 2/7. They have had 4 home games as well.

Was last year a flash in a pan with a soft draw.

Are they still getting over the Prelim loss.

There done. They where not that strong finishing last season if you look at their record. Limped into finals.

Similarities to us in 2018, after over achieving and finishing top 4 the year before in a WC year

The energy and enthusiasm isnt there this year, particularly defence

It looks like a leadership issue, but really who knows. Has it been extra warm? Maybe home games are wearing them out for the following week.

Yeah they had enough ball to win 3 games in that prelim but goaline defence was soft as butter and got exposed.

We toughed it out and scored all 4 times we got down there.

I think it was 33 to 7 tackles inside 20m with the cowboys dominating that night and we outscored them 4 tries to 3.

Where’s the team leaders setting standards though? They are the ones doing the work and informing the coach how much they’ve got left in the tank. It’s easy enough for Payten to say it’s his fault - it’s his job to say that - but if they didn’t train hard enough it’s up to his team leaders to let him know.

Most teams have improved dramatically. They are catching up. Even The Tigpies had their moments last week and seem to have some good younguns as well as better recruitment.
Newcastle better
Gold Coast better
Warriors better
Dogs better
Manly better
Dolphins a huge surprise.
Other clubs are improving which makes the clubs that stand still look to be going backwards. Not surprised its happened to Our Eels but I am surprised by The Cows stagnation.

Or his own f**king eyes, or those of his assistants, perhaps.
