Well the whistle just went, and after that knights scored again. kick to come, players shaking hands first etc.

Defence just died in the arse this half.

Though the 2 points, a TV coverage victory, and the for and against to take those points and not be affected too badly, will do me.

( wipes brow ).

Geez we cut it fine at the end by the sounds of things. However 2 points is 2 points. Thanks for the call 2TB. Looking forward to the highlights on Wednesday.

What happened in that second half! They were hot in the first 40.
Anyway they got the two points.
We had my daughter's 3rd birthday party there today at the northern end.
Not only did the kids have room to muck around and get an early rugby league education but the fathers who came along enjoyed their first experience of Henson Park and have vowed to come again. Hopefully they'll bring along a few mates too.
Congrats to the team and to all Jets fans.

I was down there today with my Nan and a couple lads from the a grade. Nan couldn't get over the women's side and loved the afternoon. Got a touch cold by the end of it, but none the less a hot pie and a cup of coffee did the trick. Hopefully when she comes to see me tomorrow we can make it a hat trick in the open grades!

Newtown just didn't switch on in the second half. A couple of very nice tries to the knights let them back into it.

We snuffed out the comeback and the last try was after the siren.

Must stay switched on the whole game if we are to win it.

True mate. Just wondering why a team that has not conceded a single point in three halves of football, then let in 28 points to 4 in forty minutes. Surley something went wrong there ????

Hey Babyface,

I thought that must have been a kids party up that Hill End behind the goalposts. Good on you mate! I was up the Hill with a group of friends behind you near the Jettettes!

That's how we build the crowd, you bring new people and they see what a great day it is and they come back!

2TB's the boys swithched off in the second half, Newcastle had some very dangerous players out wide and when they got an even share of possession in the 2nd they showed what they could do.

Apparently Brian Smith went in sheds and reved them up, it sure worked.

BUT we got the 2 points!

Mate
those dads that came along believed the 'rugby league needs super stadiums mantra' that the NRL have been dishing out. Until they got to Henson of course. While they like the NRL, they had a different kind of fun (for want of a better description) at the Henson Park. They're coming back with their kids.
At full time I collected my roaming daughter near the main stand and you could hear the boys in the sheds singing a stirring rendition of their victory song. You don't get to hear that at a super stadium.

Yes, Babyface its certainly a different experience.

It's good that people can enjoy the big stadium experience and also our unique experience following the Rooosters and the Jets!

Where else can the supporters and kids touch hands at the fence with their hero's after every home game!
