Sorry, had work. Good game though, definitely not the Panthers' year.

Hadn't Penrith only won one more game at this stage last season?

Good to see ya pugz ... i was worried you'd turned on us or something

Your mob arent gone, they just need to learn to play a little tougher at times - then let the razzle dazzle flow

It cancelled out our own poor handling but did nothing to make up for the refs wanting to make a game of it. They should have blown a lot more penalties against your lot.

Yes, I think that's more the issue than the 3 missed calls re knock-ons, strips. Those sort of mistakes will be made by refs from now to eternity. They just happened to go against us in a short period of time. It's the 'Bill Harrigan' approach of subtly changing the penalty threshold (it's probably not even conscious) if a team is down 18-0 that is more disappointing.

While Badger didn't help, the big reason Penrith got back into things in the 2nd half was that we completed 3 from 8 (before the Jennings 'knock on'.....I actually thought he'd pinged Alvaro for not playing the ball properly....but he missed that and found something that didn't happen).

They could penalise every 3 tackles if they want for poor play the balls so using that as an excuse to say they got the call right anyways is not a good reason and an apologist for them.

Our handling was shit when it mattered but the refs being completely inept at their job is making a mockery of the sport. They simply have to be better and not just for Parra games, across the entire season for every game.

I felt a tad like Nostradamus yesterday at the moment Kaysa threw that forward pass from dummy half to Norman. If felt like such a stupid play. Both players were responsible. Up until that point our play had been outstanding. That play was dumb, dumb, dumb. I strongly felt at the time it could be the error that started the rot which it most definitely was.
That critical error plus getting caught on the 5th tackle so bloody often showed terrible game management by Norman. How he got MOTM is beyond belief in my mind. He can be so great but certainly wasnt that yesterday. Good in spurts but we need much more from him.

To make a point re Corey, he is not a game manager and it's not in his DNA to do that. No doubt that's why Moses was an important signing for BA, to free up Corey to run and call for the ball when he sees something is on.

That sounds like a sort of JH role without the other baggage, should mean we compete at a better level across the whole game. As a team we are a couple of players away from really threatening, whilst we should be around the top 6, a controlling half is a real need

Re: yesterdays game. I believe we didn't get one tackle in the Panthers 20 in the 2nd half. I would also like to mention the body language of the boys when they forced a Penrith mistake was excellent to see and I'm liking Auva'a at 4 so far. Brad still has a lot of work to do though.

Our attack has been struggling a bit which has been contributed to only having one "true" half however it hasn't really been mentioned it looks like BA is trying to put a new attacking structure in place.

Without looking at stats it appears we are now have forwards pass to each other a lot more along with offloading a lot more ( this could be attributed to have better attacking forwards ). Against Penrith it appears a lot of our offloading was working.

This should develop a lot more with time and adding French and Moses next year.

Yeah we can't rely on the sweep play at every team defends it easily. We need to use offloads and good early ball to the centres in order to get around the edges and create overlaps on the wings.

Vave, Brown, Mau and Edwards are key players in our attack. Norman and Gutho provide the money balls.
