Hes now with the Geelong FC?
He might be a good get for us. Heard him with Waldron on SEN and seems to know a fair bit about rugby league.

He knows SFA MsStorm !!!

Ian Robson would have been a good choice but he's only just started at Essendon. Anyway I reckon Matt Hansen will be fine, he's obviously very impressive to get where he's got to at such a young age

The few times I've heard Balme on SEN he seemed to have a bit of rugby league knowledge, but I'll take your word on it, as you might have had the opportunity to hear them more often.

I am starting to warm to the idea of having new blood in the CEO position after the initial shock of Brian defecting to the Rebels, so hopefully he will do a great job for us.

Wether or not someone knows the game of rugby league is not really the issue... it's their sports administrative background that will count for them. Waldron knew nothing about rugby league but he is a career sports administrator (part the reason he is joining the Rebels) and his history speaks for itself. He helped Richmond and Saint Kilda stop from dying in the arse.

I think he's put us in good stead for someone to take over next year as I understand Matt Hanson is just the interim CEO?
