I do too, I would have signed Latu before LPT, but by 2027, maybe 2028.. LPT is probably coming into his prime.. like Anderson said, a frame/core that big takes more time to get strong enough to dominate in contact... and not get twisted in the wrestle...

But he is a big and also tall body, and they are becoming less prevalent in NRL.. but in no way am I writing him off.. I just think hes gonna take longer than Jacob or Latu to get there.. these kids came thru super young compared to your average prop.
Agree

Brining a potential 10yr serious big athletic prop in thru the early days and thru the juniors is-the key vs paying massive overs and hoping and waiting years down the track

but then is its own waiting game for when can he truly be a starting prop?

KK was a bit of luck me thinks and or a timely pressure point for Bennet to amp up chats with Haas

happy with KK

Happy with TCouchman and the majority minutes Sele will play as prop

Kerr let’s see but could surprise

LPT definitely worth the early dollars and early recruitment to find out. In our current NRL game rules he won’t have a JWH on a Lea Boyd trying to take his head off. So being hard is just as much about work rate as it is smashing someone.

not particularly happy with Gulder and Lawrie but both desperate for another contract in the NRL can provide extra motivation.

need another serious NRL prop asap otherwise Atko ain’t going to look like the messiah if stuck at the 30m line kicking half the game

Dylan Egan, Liddle, Loko and Lawson left behind.

3 of those are injured but I suspect Loko isn't 100% either, with all the strapping on him
Yeah a lot of talent missing there eh . Bloody injuries just keep crueling us . I think Lawson has the potential to be a class above any of the other 5 wingers we have going to vegas .

I agree a big year for Mr Lawson to show us what he can do, along with a few others

Flanagan knocks 'impatient' calls to debut Dragons teen

Atko has had one game at half back at this club and performed OK- but not at Reed's level in his debut game the previous week. I have no problem with Atko being given further opportunities to cement the Number 7 role.

What I do have a problem with is that he is being paired with serial underachiever Kyle in the halves who lacks serious opposition at this stage for the No 6 spot. King Togia hasn't really lived up to the hype around him and Kyle basically is 5/8 by default. IMO the best likely halves combination for the club long term is Reed, a natural No 7 and Atko at 6.

Whether Flanno's arguments for delaying Reed's promotion to the NRL are self-serving or genuine only he knows. Reed will be 20 yo in a month's time and Sam Walker was 18 when he made his NRL debut in 2021. Walker is also taller and skinnier than Reed- none of that seemed to bother Robbo, whom I believe most people would rate above Flanno as a coach, when he made the decision to debut Walker. Walker now has a long-term contract with the Roosters- the early debut didn't affect his long-term development.

What is a major concern to me is that if our current halves don't work and then we turn to Reed later in the season, he's being brought in to rescue a situation gone wrong. Then the heat will really be on him.

If your good enough, your old enough.. I guess the only problem would be blooding him in a team of underachievers....could ruin his confidence.

That said, when he came on against a Reserve Grade souths , the team looked structured in attack .
