wasn’t sure whether I went too hard.

nope... just had a listen, spot on re the "faceless men on the board". Apparently they have to "approve" an offer before it is lodged to the player. You could just imagine the Craig Youngs of this world saying "props aint worth more than 600k" ... I was ok with "missing out" on RCG, Saifiti's etc if we had a back up plan... but as usual, we didn't. We get hit on the ass by a rainbow and May comes on the market - we don't get past a "chat". Then Molo does his bail out to rub salt into the wound. Then the pepper comes in with Ryan C out for the year. Dunno whether to laugh or cry...

I’m not a religious person but you had me saying Amen Brother all the way through your rants during this weeks podcast. It needs to be said. And every word was true. Preach it Jack!

yes we didn’t get some recruits we wanted. Some wanted to go elsewhere (may, afb)
we have an approach of not “overpaying”. So we lost others (Saifiti and reg)The podcast says it is a mistake. I’m not so sure. I’d invest in our young guys.

don't get me wrong, we should have won, our last 20 was abysmal. The resilience needs to be built, we need that winning mentality. Curt was right we stopped playing and didn’t learn from our mistakes v south’s. This to me is something we need to get coached and developed into them. I know it can go either way from here and I’m also worried. But that’s where we are at imho

You didn’t say anything that me and my fellow Dragons friends and family haven’t been bemoaning since 2010.

This board are massive tight-arses and we only ever get any players of any note or profile when they are tarnished or washed up i.e Dugan, Packer, Klemmer, Woods etc.

Our forward pack has been the laughing stock of the comp for 15 years, to the point where Willie Mason was openly mocking us on the field.

I thought your frustration and passion was genuine and accurate because it was all things me and my dragon friends have been saying all along.

The board has to go because they obviously don’t have on-field winning results as a priority. I do feel like they take the Dragons fan base for granted and they’re happy if 8-9k turn up to watch the shit they dish up every week and pat themselves on the back when we all turn up on Anzac Day, and ultimately get flogged by the Roosters every year.

It was an absolute fluke that Uncle Wayne turned up, assembled a good team and won us a premiership and i reckon it’ll be another 31 years between drinks, if we are lucky.

Hey Jack, are you able to confirm if Craig Young is still part of the club? I thought he was gone and it is only Doust left out of the 2. I thought after the letter head letter scandal supporting Brett Finch, it forced their hand to have him removed and he is no longer around. He may have some small role but not directly involved in the big decisions anymore.
