Shocking Pod this week and I’m a fan of the pod. All this talk about Liddle needs more minutes, cook needs more minutes. Where are we supposed to fit 2 specialist hookers in for 120 minutes a game?! We tried cook through at 13 and our defence looked diabolical in those short periods. Not to mention, besides couchman, our front row has been god awful at making meters we need those bigger players at 13, especially with wingers that can’t do the hard carries out of our end. It seems like you’re just being pissed off for the sake of being pissed off
Don’t have to worry about that anymore mate. He has shut up shop and finished the podcast. I dare say because of having to listen to idiots like you every week. Hope you enjoyed getting that last dig in.

I think the abuse/feedback must have got to him. He kinda went apeshit this week after not even doing the podcast last week.

Very sad

All we have now is the i98 bullshit
Unfortunately I think this probably isn't too far from the mark.. some fans still can't accept that Flano can in fact do wrong, and that Kyle is here out of nothing else than blatant nepotism.

That's not to say I want Flano gone.. I'm still with him for now, and so was Jack by the sounds of things, but it was reasonable to call out some issues that were becoming pretty apparent.

I can imagine certain sections of the fan base probably hurled some uncalled for abuse his way for calling out the facts that some still can't see. Those who believe Flano is some all knowing, untouchable coach who gets everything right. Very sad to see....

Been a really hard few years (ok decade and a half) for all of us, but i've felt it this last few weeks also.. a bit of a disruption in the flow of optimism since Anzac day.. and for me losing Latu and soon Finau.. 2 of the bright sparks we were looking forward too.... has really killed my optimism and energy... but unlike Jack, I dont have to get up for a podcast each week...

The problem also is to have an opinion on anything dragons related will result all manner of aggro with a fanbase, most of the guys on any of these forums/facebook seem incapable of conceding any ground on their views... and his entire job is to give opinion which enrages many of them... not an easy job to do.

Another year and still some supporters (who must have allegiance to staff) get upset when a Dragons fans get angry at 15 years of atrocious club management from top to bottom.

I loved the pre-Bennett days because we had great players, great coaches, and moreover great supporters and identity. Most of all I just loved being in the mix. The wins were enthralling and the losses felt agonising because they meant something.

Cliched as it is... then Bennett came in at his prime and showed us what it was like to be a professionally run joint and create a space players wanted to be and win at. The team set the benchmark.

Everything since then has been a different version of the same crap which is purely not good enough so if a podcaster wants to say it like it is then fair game and I will listen to that, and nod my head in agreement (except Ilias because I think he was an appalling signing).

I'm one of those people and take exception to being labelled as having 'allegiance to staff' thebigredv.
If only the anger was purely the management - IT'S NOT!

I'm just a fan who wants to support my team
I don't see the value in the constant ragging of the team and coach. It's bloody depressing
I too want to see the days when we are competitive every game. I don't mind team, and selection, criticism! It's often deserved, but struth mate, the criticism borders hatred and is not focussed on management.

I don't want to hate my Dragons

i want to support them, see the positives and encourage the youth coming through.

I live in hope that we will get there but meantime I'm not going to shit on the team or the coach..

The BOD however is another story - but most frustration is dumped on coach and team. Not the board.

I do not defend the board, nor do I see anyone else defending the Board!

I think everyone that can bother to log on to a platform and post genuinely cares for the team, and I would call it support too. I'd go as far as to say we are all supporters on this forum, for example, whether some like to accept it or not. Constant bagging for the sake of it is not great but I can't say I see/read a lot of that, especially from Jack in his podcasts. He has been incredibly patient and constructive for years but I am hardly surprised to hear some people just want to take their anger out on him because I have copped the same over the years. Free speech for a failing club in another quickly deteriorating season. No one is really listening anyway!

The different levels of disillusion with the club is something that we all have to some degree. Some much more than others. I can say I am a Dragons supporter and I do bag the team and share my worries often...I don't believe that the structures around them are giving them the best support, coach is also a victim of it but he bears the brunt often.

The team and coach deserve our support I agree 100% but individuals also are subject to criticism when they repeatedly make errors. Our happiness and contentment is on their shoulders. That's part of the responsibility of professional sport. The board are clearly infallible and untouchable, and so couldn't care less what you or I think of them and the runnings of the 'business', so unfortunately the immediate blame goes to the coach and players.

Appreciate your response
I apologise that my post has been associated with the Rev V poscast.
I haven't heard the last episode - It was not meant as a reflection on Jack whatsoever
It was more a reflection on the total forum.

Agree with your post. I think Flanno is doing a great job with the roster at his disposal. I believe it is the weakest roster in the NRL. Fellow struggling clubs have all improved their rosters at a far greater rate than the dragons. It is massively disappointing! However there are some green shoots with the emergence of some of the young gun forwards. I don't think throwing the baby out with the bathwater is the answer (ie. sacking the coach). Our list management, pathways, development and retention should be the focus of club management. There must be a reason why we cannot attract prime recruits. I don't go for location being tossed up as the reason... after all Canberra can attract solid recruits and who would live there by choice! With our roster we always knew it would be a tough season...we just need to hang in there and improve our roster.

Yeah you’re right it’s my fault… god forbid I have an opinion, just like his strong opinion on the podcast. Beat it

You’re not expressing an opinion, you’re having a dig at him. You’re a gutless little keyboard warrior, come and tell me to beat it face-to-face, I’ll be at Win Stadium on Saturday.

Wow 6 posts before threatening violence on another forum member. Is that a record?

You are either an existing user with a new name or unhinged.

Wonder which one you'll admit too

Your username suggests you’re the dude on Facebook today getting upset about keyboard warriors - but now you’re here on this thread (after suddenly appearing out of the blue yesterday) being the quintessential keyboard warrior calling people with different opinions to your own opinion idiots? Hmmm.

It’s sad Jack is finishing up but part of putting out a public podcast and publicly airing his opinions means he is surely aware that people will have alternative points of view and will want to engage with him about those points of view. His opinion is not gospel. And its fair for people to disagree with those opinions.
I would be really disappointed if he’s ended the podcast because he was upset a few anonymous people on the internet disagreed with him. That would be a bit lame. I really hope that’s not the case.
I do appreciate running an amateur podcast can be a lot of work for not a lot of reward so maybe he’s just become Jack of it - pardon the pun.
If he’s given up the podcast because he’s sick of the trash performances the Dragons regularly dish up, then I don’t blame him. The last two weeks have done my head in.
And I should mention that a few people over the last day or so on this thread including myself expressed concern about his unusually dark mood that was very noticeable during the last podcast and wished him well.
Hopefully the podcast makes a reappearance when there’s something for us all to cheer about.
As for you , I’ve just seen you’ve made an ass of yourself challenging people to fights at Win Stadium. Stay classy you giant plank.
