Just listened to Salford v Wigan and sounded a great game in the conditions, very entertaining. 3 wins from 4 starts now does this mean the REds are a real play off contender ? I think so.

How funny is it that ex Wigan half Robinson was outstanding for Salford at #7 and Moran was his usual crappy self for Wigan.

Stars for Salford were Fitzy, Hodgson and Coley.

Hilarious, unless your a Wigan fan. Letting Robinson go was one of the weirdest decisions Lindsey's made.

Anytime Wigan lose its a great game!

Good to see the lesser teams ie Salford getting amongst it.

I don't know why people didn't rate them in the first place. I had them close to the top 6 in my predictions but everyone was tipping relegation, or close enough to it, for the Reds.

Stupid decision to release Robinson, he's the next GB #7 for sure (as soon as Noble is sacked of course, he'll never drop his boy Deacon).

I really thought Wigan would show improvement this year, after last season's instability and end result. Doesn't look like much has changed.

If they get knocked out the challenge cup early, and haven't improved by then, I'd say that would be a trigger for them to move on Millward. They won't suffer two seasons of ****e in a row, and Millward hasn't been able to get the best out of his team.

Millward isn't to blame. Orr and Moran don't work well together, and are both very ordinary players. Their new outside backs don't see the ball enough to do anything with it. Not to mention they got rid of a great player in Newton (thug or not, he is class) and replaced him with Mick Higham, that has hurt them alot more than they'll ever admit.

You could blame Millward for his obsession with Kevin Brown though.. he's done nothing and Millward says GB need him if they want to win the Tri-Nations?! Sure Ian, if you say so... Brown should be in the U/21's.

Just saw some footage of the Salford game on TV - heaps of snow on the pitch, looks like they only cleared away the bits around the marked lines and left the rest. A good win scoring that many points in the conditions.

Just saw highlights of this weeks' Salford game. They are playing some really good attacking footy out there, are standing with depth and getting penetration.

You could argue that Wakefield let them, but four wins from five games suggests it's not a fluke, and that will be this year's "surprise" top six team.

Hard to tell when you look at the teams they've played really. The big test will come in the next few weeks.

I went and saw Salford v Leeds at Headingley. They had some great plays, and really pushed Leeds. They had good penetrating forwards, and fast backs. They held out Leeds under enourmous pressure, and countered to get good tries.
If Danny McGuire wasnt in such good form, the Reds could have won.
