Ref and Bunker Decisions

It hit Savage's arm, bounced back and then rolled forward. It's allowed to bounce or roll forward as long as the initial movement is back, and it was.

Badger got it totally wrong.
Lol seeing that as a knock back is mental gymnastics even for you.

He knocked it back with his arms clearly.

It came forward off his legs and then backward off his arms. It's basic physics.

I thought it was a knock back but am happy enough with the result. The problem is that was a close call and deserved a second look.

So is Adam Gee utterly incompetent or is he corrupt- has to be one or the other really.

This is just infuriating. So apparently they spent so much time working out if the hit was high, they forgot to consider that it was late. The hit being so late was the freakin' obvious part!

"It's unacceptable...."

OK- so, what's happening?

Is Gee being dropped this week?

Or are we accepting it?

whenever a try is scored, they look for any reason to take it away. It’s just incompetence that they didn’t look at this properly. From the article, I can’t see what the punishment is, if any for the bunker

Another issue is the Warriors have a bye this week, so when we play Canberra in 10 or so days, it’ll all be forgotten about

Salmon was 5 metres away when TMM passed it and goes on to him in an upright position. He was looking at TMM, saw that he had passed and had ample time to pull out. It was such a clear cut call. Surely they have a process to go through when they make decisions.
The other thing is Annesley comes out every week or so and says yeah got this one wrong blah blah blah. What are they doing to prevent howlers happening in the future?
Is there any consequences for the bunker official? The on field ref pointed to the incident as it happened so why didn’t he call late tackle? Or even say to the bunker was that late? One non call has exposed a clear issue with communication and decision making processes.

And to make matters worse, because it's Canberra you could have the most biased anti-Warriors refereeing performance of all time and the post match chat from Ricky and the Canberra LU fans is guaranteed to be about how they were hard done by.

Just on the Salmon tackle, has he really been given a 2-week ban for a tackle deemed legal in all respects aside from being late? Where’s the line between a tackle off the ball that is merely a ‘technical’ offence as opposed to foul play? I must admit I generally though that tackles off the ball were illegal but didn’t constitute foul play unless there was some other illegality which made them dangerous (high, no arms etc).

haha that’s been done before, from memory
A year or two back Klein completely botched a game so they demoted him to the bunker the following week as punishment. He then totally f***ed that up and the week after he was onfield ref again. It's like a comedy. "Oh my god, just give him his damn whistle back".

And of course they were dropped because they f**ked over the Raiders.

Six years on, same old story.
Even when Souths. Eels, Roosters or Broncos are having bad seasons, they still get prime time viewing and officials.
