They didnt even explain the two handed jump for the ball thing they just brought itn in with no communication...some coaches, i think fitzgibbon was one...wasnt even aware of the new rule.

Dumbest rule. One hand minimum to contest the ball imo. If they're fake jumping so be it.

Regardless of what the rule is, and whether we think it good or not, a number of the issues around them have arisen from the fact that the NRL brought them in 2 weeks before the regular season started. I mean how are coaches supposed to understand dn educate its players so they understand it when by the time the rule came out they were playing pre-season games? That's just a stupid decision by the NRL. If you are going to bring in new rules, it should be done a couple of months beforehand so the coaches, players and referees have enough time to understand it and acclimatise to it.

Had that been done, maybe we wouldn't have had some of the problems we've had so far this season.
