Referee Accountability

The Gordon one is the one that pissed me off the most. How did they possibly come up with that decision?

They made exactly the same call on Nightingale on Sunday against the chooks. He was contesting the bomb fair and square, didn't catch so released his clasped together hands which by that stage had ended up in contact/around the rooster defender - both players then crashed to the ground - should have been play on, but no, we will call that a penalty for tackling in the air - wtf!

Are these attackers supposed to just stand their and let the defenders catch the ball uninpeded?

bullsh*t 8 point try...which was 6 points btw. He missed the goal.

f**k off. He tried to kick him in the farkin head!.

You got 24 points from bullsh*t calls, we had 8...better team didn't win...the team with the most calls to go their way for the majority of the game won. Pull your head out of your butt. Its just the way it is nowadays and its sh*tting me.

I now go into every game knowing the referee will decide the game. I go into every game thinking it doesn't matter if my team takes an 18 point lead, soon as the ref decides to bring the other team back into it, momentum will take over and its all over from there.

Rugby League is losing a lot of supporters because of these referee's, and despite my team being very succesful this year...I'm close to being done with the game because referee's are just frustrating me so much.

Yes the refs are sh*t. But you still didn't deserve to win. We turned up the heat in the 2nd half and you wilted.

Ummm no the stats suggest otherwise. The crowds maybe decreasing for certain clubs but tv audience is peaking despite the stink refreeing.

This year is so close, nothing much btw the 16 sides so the referees will get scutinized even more. Im not defending the refs but some teams put themselves into the postition where its on the referees decision. Start steamrolling over other teams and stop with the kicking in the air, no doubts no bs referee decision to be made. Pretty much take the referee outta the game - most clubs these days use the referees as a tool to get penalties their way, instead of just playing FOOTY, The raiders and panthers are the worst sides to leave it in the referees hands, change your f**ken style and maybe you wont need to piss and moan about refs all week long FFS

At half time I nearly walked out of the pub because the Panthers had been gifted 26 points by the referees. Every try came either directly after a dubious penalty (except for the one they scored on the left wing - which came from a pass that could only be described as going 4 metres forward).

The referees then gave us the rub of the green for sure in the second half which made a huge difference to the score (and result).

As I said in the game day thread, I'd just love to see a game that isn't completely influenced by the referees. I'd also love to never see Cummins officiate a Raiders game again.

I wonder about Joel Moon's try too, and I'm a Warriors supporter. Knock on for all money.
i know we're crap at the moment but that decision killed any fight we had left.

whats worse is that i didn't really get upset about it.it's the standard we're becoming used to.

the pink cancer will strike at your club soon.
